I got some retarded 27" 1080p monitor. Cyber Monday + reward points + mail in rebate = $78.
Now I'm using 25" and 27" monitors. Video editing will never be the same.
Now that's the thing that's throwing me off tho.. when you said..
Saying that they were only interested in the '90s made me feel like they'd forgotten about SegaScope 3-D so I presume you're deliberately separating the two for some reason.Quote:
Some interesting backstory is that Sega was looking into VR development way back in the 90's.
I can't really comment on what they were thinking in the 80's with the glasses but it's clear that Yu Suzuki always had a vision of simulating fast speed movement in gaming.
Once I met the SOJ retro expert, I will have a go at all of these topics.
To add to my adventure, I met Yuji Hori, known better as the creator of Dragon Quest and Chrono Trigger, last week.

amazon has a ton of disney dvds for about 40-50% off. Sale ends tonight. I'll probably finish out my scrooge stuff.
I really hate the pricing spike on Japanese toys the past few years, but I finally pulled the trigger on the Samus Figma. It was going for $150+ earlier this year when it looked like production was done and an American distributorship was off the table, which helped assuage the pricey-but-at-least-not-insane $50 current going rate.
Totally worth it. It's amazing.Quote:
I'm pretty well in love with Figmas' presentation from this, altogether. I always assumed they were around the scale of a Revoltech, but it's a nice NECA-sized figure. Neat complement of accessories (Morphball mode, interchangable "missle mode" tip for the gun, little 'laser blast' props to attach to the gun), and presented so practically; It comes with the often-seen complement of interchangable hands, but rather than all being loose there's a little clear plastic pegboard they all slot onto to keep them together! And inside the package is a little Figma-branded plastic ziplock bag to throw everything into for easy storage.
I'll probably grab the Aigis Figma next, based on how impressed I was by this one. The FE: Awakening Marth coming sometime next year will be a must, too.
got that $15 Fire Emblem 3DS game @ Best Buy
- Red Dead Redemption GOTY Edition, 360. Yee-Haw!
just ordered
Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors Volume 1 (first 33 Episodes) and Volume 2 (last 32, and yes, they finally put it out) - for about 5 or 6 each on Amazon
Ducktales Seasons 2 and 3 for 8 something on the amazon sale
And the Jane's Car manual for the Tiger tank to round out the free shipping.
Last month I picked up Galaxy High Volume 1 and 2 for like 6-8 from that rightstuf sale. There's a lot of 80s stuff slipping in under the radar.
