I got Saturday Morning RPG from Steam.
Just a heads up, Big Lots is clearing out the games they have for 50% off. Nothing outstanding, but Ive picked up Wii Resident Evil 1, 4, ivy the kiwi and 3DS shinobi for $5.
Big Lots has video games?
The one time I was there they had something like 7 different items in the whole store
They usually have nothing interesting. Probably lyrics explains why they're clearing them out!
Though, I would like Ivy the Kiwi...
They have a lot of dumb games like gta iv, saints row 3, ufc 3 , mortal kombat, midnight club, various need4speed and such for $10. Stuff Im sure yall dont want, but are good $20 sellers for me.
I did get a mario galaxy for $10 as well. Sad that theres only one. Ive about blown through all the ones i was getting from Sears for $7.
I may have to check that out. I'd be all about REmake for $10 or less, since that's one less reason to have a GC/Wii hooked up with it then being Wii U compatible.
edit: Speaking of that, where the hell is the GC VC we heard about prior to Wii U launch? I needs me some upscaled F-Zero GX.

I was hard pressed to find a game I wanted at this moment so I didn't buy one. Might just wait until Titanfall
Finally found a copy of Samurai Shodown Anthology (Wii). I forgot how awesome SS1-4 is. I played VI for a little bit, other than the low res character over higher res background, the game seems as good as the old ones. SNK kept their tradition of super cheap boss, I need to figure out a cheat to beat him.
Pce haul! Mostly random cheap things I got from eBay. Got Deep Blue, Sidearms Special and Art of Fighting. I'm particularly excited about Sidearms, I didn't think is be able to find a cheap copy, and the special mode is much better than the hucard version.
The soundtrack is nice too! Overall a great cheapie for the library!
First let me state that I am a huge AoF fan.
The pce port is really damn good! The characters aren't quite as large zoomed in as the original game, but it's much better than the SNES or genesis versions. The only issue is it doesn't do scaling, so it's a little jarring when it zooms in and out, the screen just blanks for a split second. It doesn't affect gameplay.
Speaking of gameplay, they nailed the feel of the game. It controls exactly like the neo game, although I think specials are a hair easier to perform. The six button controller is recommended. Also, you can set the language to English, which was a nice surprise.
I think I still have AoF2.... That is the best AoF ever. The bass is so bad ass.
Skate 2 and Catherine from the weekly sale, I thought I had played all the Skates!
The Skate series is fucking great. I find myself deleting my save games and starting over a couple times a year.
I'd punch your mom in the fartbox for a Skate 4.
Skate 2 is one of the best games this gen.
Skate 3 did not excite me so much, even though it's basically the same game.
I got Bravely Default, now that I am gonna be taking PT to work I'll have more time to get through these handheld games.
I've already played my 3DS more this year than I have any other. And that's before Bravely Default.
This is going to be trouble.

Also Yoshi, don't sleep on Guacamelee. It is amazing!
El Duque Orina X approves.
Good luck. I have to finish SM3DW and MGR, Lords of Shadow 2 and Thief come out in three weeks, and March is loaded. Guacamelee is looking at summer if its lucky.
Guacamelee is REALLY short, play it now. It's that good and worth your time. Specially before crap like LoS2. There are moments with the platforming in that game, where you're using so many different abilities that it's like you're playing the controller like a musical instrument.
Play it now. Everyone needs to play Guacamelee.
Let's not get ahead of ourselves, it's cooler to look at than to play.
It's not that good.
I think it's cool to play, look at, listen to and smell.
The Internet jokes are a little too heavy, though.
QFT. The "internet" jokes don't detract any more that most shitty videogame stories. The game gets so much better in the latter third of the game. The musical instrument analogy fits very well. People that say that its more about it's look and theme more than likely haven't finished the game. The game only takes 6-8 hrs depending on how many secrets you are looking to find. I'd put it ahead of most game's I've finished recently.
Personally I disagree. Specially for some one like Yoshi, who seems to love a challenge. Maybe not on Super Meat Boy levels, but the platforming in it can be quite rewarding to master. I had a damn good time with the game, and I'd put it in my top 10 of last year.
If he wants a challenge Guacamelee is one of the last games I'd recommend. It's brain dead for most of the game and then moves up to average. I'd recommend They Bleed Pixels, Volgarr, La-Mulana, or a variety of other games first.
I don't think it's a bad game, but aesthetics aside it's also not a good one.
I still think you're nutty, sir.
While it's true that the gameplay engine is far too good for the level design, none of it is bad or even average to me. But, hey, too each his own.
The chicken was neat!
Got Skate 2 for $4.94, last skateboard game I played was project 8, this controls way differently
I liked Project 8, except for that dodgy framerate.
Skate destroys it though.
Seems legit so far, I just need to get these controls down
Ima gonna get Skate 2 this week, fuckers. Is their videoplayer still up (I doubt it)?
Oh, and I picked up Yakuza Dead Souls for $10 on clearance and Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 for $15 on clearance from a couple of NJ Best Buys because I was bored.
Also, FFIX for $5 on PSN with some Playstation Credit Card rewards points so I can play it on my Vita. <3
Strike Vector, and for some reason Steam tried to give me two winter sale snow globes.
I would totally play some Skate 2. But my 360 red ringed. :xx:
At least I have OlliOlli on Vita. It's basically a 2D version of Skate. Check it out if you haven't while it's only $10.
Never.
you should try the tech deck game on ios. it's basically a 3D version of olliolli
I have Skate 2, but no live.
How about we all get the PS3 version of Skate 2.
Josh doesn't have a PS3, or does he?
He doesn't know he has one. To him it's the Metal Gear box.
And it's very good at that job.
Going to pick Skate 2 up today.
SMT Digital Devil Saga (PS2) - $20
Radiata Stories (PS2) - $10
Raiden IV (360) $7
Digital Devil Saga and Radiata Stories look great. Raiden IV is boring as shit. But hey, it came with a soundtrack CD.
Had a $25 gift card to Target, grabbed Saints Row the 3rd for $20. Contemplated Man of Steel BR/DVD/UV for $10, may go back tomorrow for it.
Is that the fighting game?
I believe it was designed to help fight japanese illiteracy.
One of the Waitresses at work told me she wanted to clear out some space in her apartment and was happy to just give this to me. I almost feel bad taking it, but hey, free 64 lootsAttachment 73249
Not bad! Throw that fake controller in the garbage.
That's a really great set of official controllers and fun games.
Also, Donkey Kong 64 and a MadCatz controller.
Aw, Dankey Kang 64 was fun.
Noooo.
No it wasn't.
I hated DK64. But at least it exposed Jetpac to people outside of Europe.
Jetpac on XBLA is awesome.
Agreed.
It came out at a time when we were getting one XBLA game a year but it was legit
Guys! Rogue Squadron.
Stopped by the local Big Lots.
Grabbed 2 copies of Shinobi (3DS) for $5 each. PM me if you want one for cost + shipping.
Unfortunately the only other games they had were several copies of DJ Hero (ps2).
- Crossfire, Genesis (complete)
- Lost World: Jurassic Park, Genesis (complete)
- Jungle Book, Genesis (complete)
- Klax, Genesis (complete)
I was happy to get Crossfire and Lost World complete and so inexpensively. They're uncommon.
I never hear anyone talk about it, but does anyone else love Klax?
In the 90s. That's when it was time.
Im not much of a falling block puzzle game type person. I played it a bit on the lynx. It passed the time.
Ain't nobody got no time for no Klax now
I probably love it because nostalgia. An arcade up the road had it. I would rotate between Final Fight, Klax, Road Blasters, Chase HQ and Pit Fighter with a side of Taxi when I felt like pinball. Despite the actual quality, those were the best games
Klax didn't seem to throw you much space to stack blocks. Still have it on turbo chip.
I like Klax. I've played Columns to death and have been checking out some of the other puzzle games on the Genesis. I have Junction (meh), Columns 3 (cool), and Klax. I'm thinking of getting Blockout if it's cheap, but I remember the wireframe 3D blocks concept not working too well.
This is pretty much all I remember of Junction.
For Genesis puzzle games, I also like Shanghai II, Lemmings, Mean Bean Machine/Puyo series, and Pac-Attack. Penguin Land MD on Game no Kanzume Vol. 2 for Mega CD isn't as good as the previous game but still worth playing.
Ah yes! I also have Pac Attack. It's pretty neat! Mean Bean Machine is awesome, of course (especially in 2-player mode). I would love to get Penguin Land on cartridge, but it's mad expensive.
Horray two or three games!
Attachment 73282
Cool, but it makes the system so retarded looking I can't do it.
Wouldn't want to mess it up.
Attachment 73283
I also like Klax, but I don't have the Genesis one. The odd thing is that the Genesis actually got two ports. The JP Megadrive version is different.
I had the TG-16 version and liked it quite a bit (my sister has it now). I plan to pick up the NES and US Genesis versions and have it on Midway Arcade Treasures GCN and GBC. The GBC one has odd colors, but plays very well. I have the 2600 US proto version on the Harmony cart too. Impressive for 2600. Too bad the official cart was only released in PAL regions.
NES Klax was ok.
HEY I have some Japanese Club Nintendo points from this thing if anybody wants 'em.
All new, all from Best Buy
WiiU Assassin's Creed IV $6
360 GTA IV Complete $6
Vita Rayman Legends $9
And I picked up the best buy exclusive heavy duty sprocket skylander.

Azrael will join Donatello as my comic reps on my toy shelf. This choice was in part inspired by Mech's post that is immortalized in Advocate's signature, though Knightfall and Knightquest were already two of my favorite story lines. It was far cheaper to get this two pack than the incorrectly colored single, so Batman was a bonus.
Yay, more random PCE goodness! Got Bomberman and L Dis. I have no idea what the latter is, except a friend on pcefx said it was a must have.

Jump start on birthday/Christmas gifts thanks to Target clearance.
Switch N Go Dinos $4
Transformer 2 packs $3
Target Exclusive Predaking $12 (they had a ton of these, might check back again in a week or two)
Construction Bots Optimus vs Megatron $6
oo!
I picked up one of those Switch N Go Dinos a few months ago for my little nephew, and he loved it. Will have to keep an eye out went I go hunting on Saturday.
Joints are a little flimsy though the pieces seem quality, nice they include a carry case. I think the kids will enjoy them more than say Kreo Transformers since they can be converted with much less effort.Quote:
I want that Predaking, but no clearance here. How are those Construction bots?
Bravely Default CE
Bravely Default normal peasant edition.
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...ult_US_Art.jpg
Picked up a copy of Bravely Default from Kmart, which I ordered along with Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze for $82 with $36 in points in return that I'll use on Mario Kart 8 in May. I'll sell the CE I've got ordered from Amazon.
Bravely Default I'm not that much of a chan edition
I just placed my order on Amazon for an EVGA GTX 780 Classified! It'll be here next Tuesday.
I got a $300 discount on the video card, with Amazon gift cards I got for staying at La Quinta Inns throughout most of last year and this past month. It certainly helped to soften the blow.
I got a notice from Amazon that my BDCE shipped. Does that count?
