It's the Lion King ripoff stage with tons of dropoff deaths. The perfect mix of frustration & pretty stuff in stage design. And the music! Man...

This game is fun. Thats all I have to say about it so far.

All these old school 2D games collectively, plus BC, are tempting me to get a Wii U.

I got this for $20 via some Amazon credit and am quite underwhelmed after playing through the original DKC trilogy. The lack of team-up stuff sucks. It made some sense before when it was made for the Wii remote and its shitty layout and lack of buttons. There's zero reason for a core gameplay mechanic like the team-up strategy to be gone when you've got a controller with a standard amount of buttons in a logical layout and a damned touchscreen as well.

What team up strategy are you talking about? Grabbing one Kong and throwing it to get an item?
