Hard Reset was pretty damn disappointing.
Maybe you should play Motorstorm 3.
Why is nobody mentioning The Club?
SSJN - thank you for resurrecting this thread. I'm just going to assume that "another dumb TD thread" dig was a subversive way to say "another brilliant TD thread that we are so blessed to be gifted with" so again, kudos.
Yoshi - Keep making those lists. That was an excellent list, and I still refer back to your list in my 3rd person action/adventure games thread when I'm looking for new titles. Shadows of the Damned is an excellent choice.
With Shadows of the Damned in mind, my choice for under played games of last gen is Lollipop Chainsaw. That game was absurd and so ridiculous, so fun, and I think about only 4 people ever got to play it. Me, myself and I, + Jack Daniels.
You'd think Tyler Durden, if anybody, would understand the rules of Fight Club.
True. It's gone.
These are mostly flawed games with niche appeal but I enjoyed them:
Dark Messiah: Might and Magic (PC)
Great action with some Thief and Ultima Underworld inspiration.
Epic Mickey (Wii)
A little too easy for the player choice to matter much but check it out if you like classic Disney.
Qasir Al-Wasat: A Night In-Between (PC)
An adventure/stealth game set in 12th century Syria.
Jetpac Refuelled (360)
Nice update of the 8-bit classic.
Wet (PS3/360)
Similar to Max Payne.
Deadly Creatures (Wii)
Play as a scorpion and a spider.
Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon (Wii)
The combat's weak but this is all about the post-apocalyptic anime atmosphere.
Miasmata (PC)
Island survival adventure. Don't expect handholding or constant action.
NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams (Wii)
This got a lot of hate for not living up to the original but it still has some nice moments that feel like Saturn era Sonic Team. It sucks you can't skip the cutscenes on the first playthrough, though.
E.Y.E.: Divine Cybermancy (PC)
Eerie FPS/RPG.
I remember liking the demo for Wet, but I didn't get 360 until years later.
Deadly Creatures sounds like something I'd be into. I loved that goofy Spider game for PS1.
