I was going to say Wet is dirt cheap enough that it's worth checking out, but apparently Gamestop no longer sells it for the $3 like it did less than a year ago.

Viking Battle for Asgard - Decent brainless hack and slash with a sort of interesting army mechanic. I think this got ported to PC not too long ago.
Civilization Revolution - a lot of people kind of wrote this game off as a dummy console Civ but it was its own beast and quite entertaining. It played a lot like a modern version of Civ 1 with a very good MP mode.
de Blob 2 - fun little platformer. I think the first one came out on Wii only, but the 2nd came out everywhere and looked really good.
Midnight Club LA - this was one of the best racers on Xbox 360. Looked amazing and had tons to do. I think a lot of people wrote it off because it was really really hard, but the game had this dynamic difficulty that adjusted pretty quickly. Just needed to get your ass kicked a few times.
de Blob 2 was one of those games that everyone couldn't dump quick enough. There's been several times I've passed on $5 new copies. Now I'm intrigued.
De Blob was a delightful, stylish and freakishly easy game.
Any of you asshats with a Wii U and kids should have the Wii Klonoa reboot. Little King Story gets a nod as usual too.
Oh man, I forgot about Viking! I didn't have a 360 when it came out and I wanted to play it because I like Spartan: Total Warrior a lot.
This thread has served me well.
Considering I was posting to myself in the Absolution thread until haoh played it like a year late, I think it fits. Where to draw the line isn't easy though, and TNL is different than most places in both directions.
I should look at the leaderboards on The Club 360 to see if I'm not still kicking some serious ass
Lollipop chainsaw was fun. I know shidoshi got it. Did finch get it too?
Understandable that some would not like it though. A lot of people think of fps or resident evil controls with zombie games. And the battle system was inferior to dmc and other hackslash games. Fun just the same. (Maybe not hidden though, it did get a lot of advertising)
Another game would be either of the two transformers games. They were fun little romps.
I don't think enough people played the M2 developed Konami Rebirth games on WiiWare.
They were way better than you think they are.
Does anyone like flight sims or action games?
Apache Air Assault is pretty awesome and you can change the flight model to realistic or arcade to suit your needs.
Birds of Steel has WWII planes shooting the shit out of each other. I didn't get too far but from what I played, it is great.
IL2 Sturmovik also has WWII planes and tons of missions. I am not sure if BoS or this is better, but you can't go wrong with either
Ace Combat 6 and Ace Combat Assault Horizon doesn't seem like anyone play these arcade shooters either, I like Assault Horizon for the one-on-one camera battle
For something different:
SSX is a lot of fun if you like the old SSX series.
Culdcept Saga anyone played this? I believe ARBM have but not sure how it compares to the PS2 game.
I played Culdcept Saga a bit, but prefered the ps2 version. Computer's lucky rolls were god tier in CS. Closest I ever came to actually cracking a disc in half.
I've played IL2 Sturmovik on the PS3. It was a nice change of pace from those over the top futuristic jet fighter games.
I really enjoyed both versions of Culdcept. I even let Brad Galloway from Game Critics kick my ass in a couple of rounds of online play on the 360. I'd like to complete some of the achievements on this game, but it's a pain trying to convert every square to one element, before winning the match.
GREAT call. I didn't even think about digital Wii. The other Wii game that hasn't been mentioned this go-round is Zack and Wiki.
edit: It's pretty amazing we go two legitimately good Contra games last generation. I wish there were a Hard Corps Rising equivalent for Castlevania and Gradius though.
Zack and Wiki is the best Wii game and easily the best use of the Wii remote.
I did not care for Hard Corps Uprising though the rebirth games were great.
Zack and Wiki's probably my favourite Wii game. It was always sad seeing it sitting on the shelves for $15 or less and still getting ignored.
Though most of them have been covered in this thread, I was still impressed when I stumbled onto this list.
I think Spec Ops: The Line has managed to cross over into overrated territory (on message boards at least).
Heavy Weapon.
yesssssssssssss
I'm going to add Majin and the forsaken kingdom. Definitely has some generic characters but is somehow still really charming. Controlling the majin was never cumbersome and the puzzles were pretty creative. All of that wrapped up with really good boss fights and a good story makes this one of my favorite hidden gems on last gen hardware.
another yesssssssssssssssssssss
these suggestions are good, but they are bookends for this Majin business
The delisted XBLA/PSN games are kind of bumming me out.
I want Outrun on XBLA.
I mean, I'll track down a PS2 version of Outrun 2 eventually I guess, but I wish I could just click a few buttons to pay a few bucks and have it on PS3.
