I was excited for a brief second before I read "Android-iOS."
It has controller support, so that's less an issue than the free-to-play with microtransactions.
I will remain cautiously optimistic. If it plays fine without the microtransaction I'll give it a shot if I can play it on the Ouya. If you can't hope to win without dumping money I'll pass.
Something I might actually want to play on one of those shitty Android consoles!
Cautiously excited. Square does good stuff on mobile, but I'd rather just pay their exorbitant prices than deal with IAP overreach.
But if they keep the IAPs in check like Zenonia or something, then I'll be all over it.
I was disappointed at first but the gameplay footage looks like a real game so I'm also cautiously excited.
We should really stop having that initial reaction. With the controller options out there now, games are probably better off on mobile than on 3DS, and maybe even Vita, as long as they're not screwed up by microtransactions. Hell, you could pay for an awful lot of microtransactions before you hit the $40 this would be on 3DS/Vita.
With an extra piece of crap to lose...
Still, the worst thing about this is micro transactions. This looks good if they can keep from fucking it up. (Square enix, seiken densetsu... SE on mobile... Free 2 play... *shudder*)
I want it to be good.
