Nothing about that video looks like you will be forced to do that. There is nothing there indicating that you couldn't just stay high in the air and bypass that entirely. Also, it's ridiculous that we are on a 4th game and just getting the Batmobile. Play the last three if you don't want the Batmobile.
Unrelated to the current conversation, this is going to have one expensive season pass.

I believe I have only bought two: BioShock Infinite and The Evil Within. Basically, I wouldn't do it for developers that are not on a very short list. Rocksteady isn't on that list, and the ones I've bought weren't $40. They also didn't include bullshit like skins.
Bioshock was also the last time I bought a season pass. Ended up not using it until just recently when Infinite was free.
I personally do not care about the passes. Nobody forces you to buy them. I would consider a pass again but it's not likely.
