Yoshi is so damn dumb, amirite?
You couldn't even let me make the thread. Anyway...
Armored Hunter Gunhound EX (PC) - $10.04 through Playsim, thanks to Tain's tip. It's a bit of a blind buy, but it has pedigree and the fact that it probably won't be the worst $10 game I've bought this week on its side.
Damn, Chux is salty today.
I got this pencil.
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004OHNTVC/..._a3Lytb0VX9AZK
It's amazing.
I'm comfortable admitting that I'm a big enough nerd that describing a pencil as amazing doesn't seem unreasonable. I used the same one from my senior year in high school all the way through college, which was one hell of a lot of math classes.
2014.
Still pencil.
What's that mean? I draw with mechanical pencils, and rapidly blunt the point with the softer graphite, which causes some inconsistently in the linework unless I'm constantly using a tiny sharpener, interrupting the flow.
I will investigate these auto-rotating models, seems like they could great. I wonder if you'd have to untrain yourself a bit from intuitively compensating for how the graphite conventionally deforms/shapes (ARBM?)
E-readers still kind of suck, so Pencil perseveres.
Darkstalkers Resurrection (PS3).
What a great port! Iron Galaxy gave it a lot of love. The front-end is a lot more developed than the one for Third Strike Online, and the "Challenges" are more like an extended tutorial this time around (with examples!)
Shame it didn't do well enough to warrant bringing the franchise back, but I'm not sure who it would be for if they did. Extremely technical 2D fighter (moreso than SF) with a ton of goofy stuff going on; seems like they'd just piss off their main audience while doing 4x the work to put it on screen.
You really don't have to make any special adjustments. The lines stay even as long as you're using it at a slight angle and not perpendicular to the paper like a kid using a crayon.
It's pretty rad. The lines are sharp. Feels like you're using thinner a graphite than .5mm, but the tip doesn't break like it can with thinner pencils.
Bottom line was written with a cheap Bic .5mm. Top was written with the Kuru Toga:Attachment 74089
I write better than that with cheap Bic.
<3 mechanical pencils
I prefer a (good) normal one to a mechanical by a landslide, but shredding through them is wasteful and has started to bother me.
Steam finally put Star Wars games on sale so I grabbed Empire at War (the RTS).
Muramasa Rebirth on Vita from the SEN sale.
Shadowrun Returns (PC) - $5.09 on Steam. I really paid less than that, since I used credit from the 10% off cards from Target.
worked on the arcade cab tonight. I was cleaning, vacuuming, thought I'd vacuum out the rat filth, which lead to working on the fucked up player two controls.
Man.
I'm pretty sure that player two's shit was some thrown together kludge to make the cab look more complete. The shoot button didn't register half the time. Player 2 select's ground lug was snapped in half. And the joystick was put together from two different sticks. I had to steel washers off of a table to shorten the height of the your mother's shaft. Cleaning the switches wasn't enough to fix the buttons, so I swapped the cherry switches, fixing the problem.
2 player works now, but it is very stiff.
I need another joystick, at least. Probably a Happ competition. Where does everyone buy parts these days? http://arcadeemulator.net/ http://groovygamegear.com/webstore/ ?
http://www.focusattack.com/ has really good customer service.
http://www.focusattack.com/categorie...arts/Joystick/
Focusattack is great, but I believe they only have japanese parts. They're usually shorter (on both ends) if space under the control panel was ever a concern.
looks like you can get a Happ stick with prime. Or just buy Josh's.
Muramasa Rebirth (PSV) - $7.49 from SEN Golden Week Sale
I'm still trying to decide what else to get. It basically comes down to Persona 4 and Ys vs. Danganronpa. It would obviously be the former if I weren't multiple games behind in each series.
I also got a physical/digital subscription to the WSJ with expiring frequent flyer miles.
Yeah, but you don't need to play the previous games to enjoy Persona 4. I got 70 hours out of that damn game, and I just don't do that shit with RPG's anymore.
I don't want to add more credit, since I want to save enough points for a PS4.
I also picked up these from Best Buy (love that 20% off):
http://www.gamestop.com/common/images/lbox/170847b.jpg http://www.gamestop.com/common/images/lbox/170846b.jpg
The first is for me, while the latter is for my daughter.
I picked them both up and they're both for me.
I got Endless Ocean: Blue World for my kids and Mario Golf for me. So far, I'm liking it. It seems like a great game to play in spurts.
http://www.gamestop.com/common/images/lbox/240056b1.jpg
$55 - $20 coupon from a kind CAG - $7 for GCU = $28 + tax
Now I'll probably sell/trade the digital code from Mario Kart 8.
My neighbor had a yard sale today and it turns out she had 2 Gameboy colors. Bought the whole set for $60.
SMB Deluxe is great and I wish they would do something similar again but hell no
Tales of xillia limited 19.99 at Target.
Went to free comic book day, and got a mess of free comics. The store also discounts the toys and other hardcovers so I bought
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/418Vt7Va7ML.jpg
for $5 for Lily and
http://clzimages.com/comic/large/36/...neHardcove.jpg for $5 for me.
I went to Free Comic Book Day and got the satisfaction of leaving after browsing for ten minutes while the event line and check-out line barely budged. This is not how I remember this event happening in years past!
Find a better store, imo.
Yeah, 80's comics are dicey, but I couldn't say no to the price.
I asked for two, then when the guy opened the case i could see there were only two, so i said i would only take one, im not that greedy. Dude said " take it!" So i did.
This wasnt a sale or clearance. When i saw it over a $19.99 shelf tag, i figured someone just put it in the wrong spot. Nope. That is the the everyday Target price now.
So i could hook you up, but check your local store first.
Ordered Mario Golf 3DS and Bit Trip Complete Wii. Also found a couple things at yard sales:
Metroid Prime 3 Corruption Wii 5 dollars, in good condition
GBA SP with Kirby's Dreamland and a pelican charger for 10 dollars together
https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/d...410556489.html
I'd love this but If I'm planning to move I can't justify it.
I finally made a decision on what to add to Muramasa to use my remaining SEN credit during this Golden Week sale:
Persona 4 Golden - $14.62
Ys: Memories of Celcetta - $19.59
Devil May Cry HD Collection - $8.99
Yoshi, do you have physical games for the Vita or digital-only?
Digital only. Almost every one has been free with either PS+ or credit card points turned into SEN credit, but the underlying reason is that Sony has demonstrated that they will let you access content cross platform, use it on multiple systems, etc. Contrasting that with the 3DS, I only own the Ambassador games and the 3D Classics on there digitally.
I thought as much, if you haven't purchased the physical copy of P4G by now. So you utilize your memory card space at any time by transferring downloaded games between your Vita and PC via the content manager?
Getting back into Darkstalkers, apparently! Picked up the Official Complete Works book.

Darkstalkers Resurrection has been great so far, Fight Request on arcade mode should really be an option for all fighting games.
Yep, though honestly I haven't had to do too much of that. I basically stick with a game or two until they are done and then swap them out. There hasn't been much back-and-forth. Stuff like Uncharted has been tying up space forever though, because I keep telling myself I'm going back for the Platinum.
Bought Jet Set Radio for $2.50 on Steam, and spent $2 on the new Indie Gala Monday bundle to get LocoCycle. I already have Metal Drift, so here that -
38Y4N-EKC07-5V8CB
Turns out, I also have Zero Gear, so here's the code for that -
3D3DY-PY5XR-IIE7N
That doesn't have Lisa Foiles, but it might look better.
Tommorow

Accidental Haul: a free trial-cum-paid month of Audible. Oops. I'm the reason these services offer free trials. I'm such a mark.
Oh well. One could do worse. Might even stick with it for a while; I used it more than most of the paid subs I voluntarily pay for.
Audible rules pretty hard. I mostly used it to have Robert Heinlein novels to listen to while working.
It would be a no-brainer at $6 or $7, but sheeeeit, $15/month for one book? That's a little steep. Do you get to hang on to them after you cancel?
Iiiiii think so? I seemed to be getting a better deal than $15 per book, but it was a while ago.
The guy at Best Buy didn't understand about the action Figure with son of Bm. Nobody knows what a steelbook is. I'm a platinum member at best buy if I call Eugene maybe he can help me get toy. I'm gonna post a pic of a Sega lot.
Audible accepts cum as payment? This changes everything.
What's audible?
I'm not going to tell you.
I got that Sonic Hits pack and the Indie Gala bundle with Lococycle.

$150 sound fair?
Tesla Effect w/ Pandora Directive and soundtrack preorder bonuses - $17.99 - 10% from the Target Steam card discount from a couple weeks ago
Rasslin 4 life
Was someone here looking for magical chase ? Shou? Someone has a copy on Craigslist. Let me know if anyone wants the link.
How much is a new Sega Saturn worth? Opened but all baggies factory sealed?
Managed to hit up a flea market a few weeks back with a table of 3-4 dollar carts:
Attachment 74145
Forgot that Factor 5 had a hand in Indy, was not a fan of Super Empire Strikes Back but I'll give the other two a go. Been on a Euro platformer kick, First Samurai has been interesting to try. Super Pitfall was one of my first NES games, wasn't til watching a AVGN segment that I realized how fucked the design was. Not sure if its possible to beat without a FAQ.
Attachment 74146
Tactics from the New Egg deal, Kirby doesn't seem to be getting any cheaper so I finally caved and hit Up a local Wal Mart.
Attachment 74147
Finally replaced the Download 2 CD-R I've toted around for 15 years (still consider the first game to be better). The other PCE titles were $5 Ebay auctions. Jimmu Denshō isn't highly regarded but I'm a sucker for Wolf Team. The Beast series isn't all that rare but I've yet to run across the Genny ones during game hunting. Gameoverdude pointed out the Japanese Mega Drive had a few enhancements, found a complete copy for $16 shipped.
Attachment 74148
I rarely haggle games on Craigs, but picked up a Deoxy distribution cart for $160. Debating whether to sell now or hold it awhile, current going rate is $300-350. Back of the cart is individually numbered, guessing for Nintendo to track or simply store number. Also found GI Joe NES the same day.
That NES GI Joe is the best haul out of the lot, that game was great! :D
I'm pumped.
Know its not rare but never stumbled across a copy before.
Oh man the vehicle music. Maaaaaan. Everything and anything just exploding everywhere including said vehicle. *ahem* Good game, yes.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4JyeqNUd-pY
So good.
Let me know if you ever end up using that deoxys cart. I missed the event and wouldn't mind one.
Got a review copy of Duck Game on the OUYA a bit early.
It's flawed but I like it. I surprisingly found my copy at a local pawn shop a decade ago. Some of the jumps are really annoying but given that it's 3d-ish platforming from 1989, I'm forgiving of that.Quote:

Picked up Dirt Showdown (PS3) for $5 from Fry's.
MLB The Show 14. First baseball game I have played since N64 days.
Performing arts center I'm consulting at bought me a Surface Pro 2.
I've never owned a PC capable of playing games before, so that's neat.
They ever made such a thing?
I didn't ever own a computer capable of playing anything other than maybe doom, and then bought a MacBook Air. I'm kind of a Luddite.
Nice. The Surface is great.
Adult Haul
New furniture
New Car
New weed cutter. Lol
I bought a new lawnmower and new mattresses last week, so I can relate. :\
Quick marriage test.
Which would you rather involve your wife with, the mower or the mattress?
