New world and new adventure? So I take it this isn't actually a remake, but a new game using some of the Ruby/Sapphire pokemon or is that just some marketing shlock to make the game seem like it's not just a remake to build up hype? Will be interesting to see.
There's no way. This is exactly like their previous remakes and these games were next in line. The wording on the teaser is probably just misleading.
I think they'll add tons of crap on top of the original as usual, but it's gotta be a remake.
This is the last none 3DS compatible Pokemon game that they can remake now as well isn't it? From this point on the rest of the main games are either DS or 3DS games I think.
Yeah, but it's usually more about the generation compatibility I think, and making old pokemon available again. I doubt you can trade between diamond/pearl and X/Y?
I actually haven't paid any attention to the series since Diamond/Pearl so I have no idea if the current generation (X/Y are 'new'?) is missing access to tons of Pokemon. Maybe they'll re-re-make RBG next! FireHotRed and IceColdBlue.
Same with me. Diamond was the last Pokemon game I ever played. Something about it just didn't feel up to par, after beating the Elite Four I just left it in it's box to gather dust, tried to play it a few months back and I still didn't have the motivation to play it. I think I kinda peaked at Gold and Silver, had the best pokemon, best overworld and most of my favourite gym leaders. Shame that a copy of the reboots on DS cost an insane amount of money to buy here in the UK.Quote:

I put the most effort into Ru/Sa. Since it was a new generation, it was relatively simple- it was the only game I actually finished the pokedex before it went all international. To be honest though I don't think I ever really favored any game over another. They were all kind of the same blur to me.
