Finished the single player mode, and increasingly disappointed so many reviews wrote it off as forgettable, bland, and overly long tutorial...
...I mean, they fought the last boss I did, right? How could you not come away from that with the warm-fuzzies?
It's all pretty fun, but it's only a couple steps above tacked on. It's almost really good, but not quite. It's still pretty enjoyable and the bosses are great (I haven't even fought the last one!)
What I mean is that I like it a whole lot but I can understand why it's not essential to everyone.
It was fun, the game would have been incomplete/less without it. I could have done with more of the obstacle course stages and less of the Octoling or the Ink Strike/UFO levels.
Splatfest fix; Kraken, ninja, and ink resistance nerfs next week.
