Being against affirmative action is a rare case of me siding with Yoshi on something political. I do think racism is a problem but that just seems like the wrong way to go about fixing it. I think it's important that lower income areas regardless of race get access to quality public schooling. In my province, the government tries not to give rich areas better schools even though more property and income tax is collected from them. The funding isn't so localized. It sounds like in much of the US, a poor area equals shitty public schools.

1. White privilege is a stupid term. It is more like white advantage. And by white, we all really mean money advantage, which is just kinda 'duh'

2. BUT what people are getting at with that word is real. Coincidentally, some of the poorest Americans are POC. And they will probably remain that way so long as education is tied to property tax.

Hell, things have never been worse. Some southern cities are re segregating their schools. And now that discrimination is tied heavily to money, the smarter well off POC are moving with the whites. Leaving the poorest POC alone. Tuscaloosa for example, had a valedictorian with a 16 on the ACT. Yeah.
