I'm for riots.
At this point I don't think a specified reason is necessary.
white guys taking their shirt off and wearing it around their head.
Well, my point is the cops aren't acting like civilized human beings either, and haven't for a long time. They just get a badge and a gun.
Take a look at this from the grand jury testimony: https://twitter.com/aurabogado/statu...33810002190336
The medical examiner didn't take pictures of Brown's body because "it was out of batteries." The whole thing was a crock of shit from the start.
I want all cops to have a shoulder mounted camera that is live streaming all the time. Use that google algorithm to blur faces. 100% transparency.
Yes, I know there are problems with this.
I'm in total agreement. There are a lot of odd things associated with how this situation was handled. When I was listening to the announcement, I had flashbacks of the judge rendering his verdict during high school mock trial. I knew it wasn't going to end well. Having it as late as it was didn't make sense either. But acting up and rioting perpetuates the violent circle. It forces cops to get even more trigger happy, which leads to increased chances of shootings. which then leads to even more tensions within the community. Didn't you see the end to Looper? There were plenty of peaceful protests. The looting and rioting doesn't help support any justified argument that needs to be made. I've testified against a cop for a wrongful arrest, I was pretty much tormented as a child. Believe me. I know abuse. But I just think violence should only be a last resort. And if it is, it's directed solely against those harming me. Not innocent bystanders or businesses which have nothing to do with my grievance.
I'm all for the mounted cameras. Keeps everyone honest. But perhaps the streaming could be limited to only while on an active call. Cop cars are usually equipped with cameras so there will be at least some documentation.
I want it streaming every second they're on the clock. Bad things happen in dark places.
You know they'll figure out ways to 'selectively interfere' with it if they know it's on.
Indubitably, son. Still... it's a start.
