I'm in total agreement. There are a lot of odd things associated with how this situation was handled. When I was listening to the announcement, I had flashbacks of the judge rendering his verdict during high school mock trial. I knew it wasn't going to end well. Having it as late as it was didn't make sense either. But acting up and rioting perpetuates the violent circle. It forces cops to get even more trigger happy, which leads to increased chances of shootings. which then leads to even more tensions within the community. Didn't you see the end to Looper? There were plenty of peaceful protests. The looting and rioting doesn't help support any justified argument that needs to be made. I've testified against a cop for a wrongful arrest, I was pretty much tormented as a child. Believe me. I know abuse. But I just think violence should only be a last resort. And if it is, it's directed solely against those harming me. Not innocent bystanders or businesses which have nothing to do with my grievance.Quote:
