VIII I completely understand. VII will likely benefit from a much better translation, though. Don't you want the full Maribel experience?

Maribel da bes'
I'm tempted (very tempted) but it's such a long game. Like, Xenogears long.
Yeah, but it's vignettes. Use it as an aperitif or palate cleanser. Or anything! Use it for anything! Everyone needs a thneed!
...
Buy it and Finch won't break your legs.
It's longer than Xenogears but more manageable because it's moving from one vignette or parable to the next. Some are really touching! I think and hope this game will get a better response in the west in this year of 2015 than it did in 2001 when we were still riding on the Final Fantasy cutscene high.
Pretty much what Arobimi said:

First they came for the wet napkin bikinis in a horror game—
and i did not speak out because what who cares
Then they came for the little girl bikinis—
and i did not speak out because that's the elevator to jail
Then they came for the boob sliders—
and i did not speak out because it seriously doesn't matter are you really that upset
Then they came for the puff puff— and i realized you could read this a different way and oh no never mind........
Here it is in all its glory though
Dammit, Finch. I told you. All you have to do is stand behind me and hold the nine iron.
although i guess they didn't take it out from DQIX so maybe it'll be okay.

Which, I'll probably end up buying both. Again. And Layton/Wright is a great game everyone said they wanted and no one bought...'cept me an' Finch?
Oh, um, i'll make a DQ thread in a little bit if no one else does.
Chao bought Layton Vs. Wright too i think. It sold really poorly. It's best if you like both series. I thought it was amazing but lent it to someone who didn't care for Layton an he didn't like it much.
