I wasn't planning on picking this up, but the combination at Best Buy of the 10% off movers coupon from the post office and the 2 years of GCU included per this week's offer is a great deal.
Got the last available bundle at the second BB I went to, as the other bundles in stock were set aside for pre-orders.
Both the PS4 and Destiny (though I still loathe its online requirement) are pretty rad so far.
That is a good deal. GCU has already paid for itself for me (at $60), and I only got it in March. And you guys know I buy a lot of digital stuff, so my returns are somewhat limited.
I am going to get a lot of shit from TNL for this haul, but I don't care.

I picked up 8 Gigs of Crucial Ballistix DDR3-1600 RAM for my PC, to up my system memory to 16 Gigs. I dropped my system page-file size down to 1 Gig and noticed an improvement in Watch Dogs performance.

Resident Evil 6 is finally cheap enough to take the plunge on, so I picked that up along with 4 HD and Remember Me over the weekend. I also caved on the Indie Bundle, mostly for Gunpoint (awesome) and SteamWorld Dig (awesomer).

this is an excellent purchase. DS has so many great unlocalized games that are getting fan translations and hopefully that will just keep happening. Also, Mother 3 on a screen where you can clearly see the pixels without putting your face right up to it is the right way to play it. It's a beautiful thing on the DSiXLQuote:

The GG is completely refurbished, with new main, power, and sound caps, a deep cleaning, and a new screen protector.

... as well as some box protectors for them. The GG came with a loose (grrr...) copy of Sonic Chaos. I now have all of Sega's U.S. platforms, except for the Pico. Fuck the Pico. I'm going for a complete, boxed GG collection, and since S-16 is going to expand coverage to Sega's 8-bit machines in January, this gives me a good head start on building a reviewable library.

Nice haul, Melf. Sonic 2 is kind of annoying on GG, though, because the screen cropping blinds you more than in the SMS one.
It's worth checking out imports, too. There are some good games not released in NA and the system has no region locking. Plus Japanese GG boxes tend to be nicer looking (smaller size and better artwork), IMO.

I picked this up, and have read a little bit of it. REALLY disappointed in the quality of the paper stock of the internal pages and on the print job. Almost every page of the first 20 so far features text that either goes from regular slowly to bold slowly back to regular, or print that is very slightly misaligned giving some letters blue shadows.Quote:

Recent pick-ups from my last Japan trip. I'd been going back and forth on wanting a PSP Go, and when I was first looking around, all of the used ones were about $120. Finally found one for $80, so I decided that was low enough to go for. (Being Japan, it's in prefect shape, and it came will everything it would come with new.) Persona books were about $4 each, so that's why I snagged those. Especially happy with the new iPhone case, but of course now I want an iPhone 6. (I'll probably wait until the 6S hits though, so by then I can find a nice new case of that size.)

I ended up blowing $650 (taxes included) on a Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum washer. The old washing machine had been repaired 2 times and was pretty much on its deathbed, so I decided it was time to get a new washer. I'm hoping the reduced water use will help to lower my water bill, that has been pretty insane the last couple of months.
