Sure as hell sounds likes they are leaving with the owner buying 60 acres and an 80,000 seat stadium basically approved by the mayor.

Which still doesn't explain why Dez Bryant wasn't called for running onto the field without his helmet on and not being involved with the play; meaning Unsportsmanlike Conduct 15 yards.
You can offset all you want, but Bryant did run onto the field. See also Blandino admitted today that Hutchins should have been called for Holding, cause you know he held Pettigrew all the way down the field. Missed calls always happen. I can accept not getting the Hutchins hold.
And again the bigger issue is why was there no explanation as to why the flag was picked up.
Maybe Bradley Fletcher should learn how to hold.
They opted to tell Dez to get back and the staff grabbed him. Coaches come out on the field all of the time and get a warning. If Dez had come onto the field and grabbed a player or bumped a ref, the flag would definitely been thrown.
He didn't hold Pettigrew all the way down the field. You see the picture with him grabbing some jersey when Pettigrew is pushing off of him, but you don't see the part where he lets go of it a half second later and then Pettigrew starts tugging on his facemask.Quote:

There wasn't an explanation on the field to the audience, but the ref crew got together and the side judge was asked about what he had seen. He said that there was shielding, but that is only called in College football.Quote:

He are 2 attached pictures of the game from my DVR. The one pic shows the side judge that was closest to the call and was the final vote on picking up the flag. He waves his arms for an incomplete pass, while the back judge throws a flag, not for holding, but for pass interference. If you look at the other pic, you can see that Pettrigrew was grabbing Hutchings facemask, which he used to pull Hutchins toward him as Pettigrew spun around for the ball. There's no way Hutchins could have turned around with Pettigrew holding his facemask.
Troy Aikman even said, well there's contact.....a little bit of contact. Troy acted like the call was kind of questionable, until after their referee guru stated why there was a flag.
If people would show me one of these non-judgment calls that have been announced, marked off and then cancelled 20 seconds later, I don't know, ever, that'd be great
I mean, that's pretty damn rare, plus if this went the other way, Yoshi would have denounced the entire concept of sports by now
I would have too
And that's the problem with having a crew that has never worked together. They should have gotten together to discuss what had happened on the field, before the ref started making announcements. He jumped the gun, based on the call by the back judge that only had the view of Hutchin's back. The side judge that had a full view called it an incomplete pass and jumped in to let the ref know what he had seen.
Even if Merrinelli had never announced why the flag was thrown, there would still have been controversy over the picked up flag.
I agree with the last point, but no, I don't think it would be as bad because that has happened every gameday.
The first thing, I do not understand that at all, do they all speak in code words or something? The procedure for every crew is
throw flag
what did you see
agree?
ok
they didn't immediately announce a call, so I just don't really believe that. It's too..eh
It was announced within 20 seconds of the flag being thrown. That would be pretty much enough time for the back judge to tell the ref why he had thrown the flag. It was another 15 seconds later that the other announcement came.
The unsportsmanlike conduct flag that could have been thrown on Dez is a choice of the ref.

The officiating in that game was bad for both sides. I really don't like when the league throws together a bunch of guys that have never worked together. You get sloppy controversial calls like this, that takes away from what was accomplished on the field.Quote:

You know, there is a lot of post-game talk considering...
