Yeah, that was a definite missed call. You see missed holding calls all of the time. I used to watch Ware get mugged on the line and get nothing called to help him; is was just mind-numbing to watch. Then you had the phantom holding call against Seattle in Super Bowl 40, that just the opposite.
All of this could have gone a whole lot smoother if they would use the ref teams they use throughout the season, or at least the teams that got the highest ranking.
This reminds me of the 2006 Dallas Mavericks, that let the calls of the referees dictate their play in the final 4 games. The next time Dallas made it to the finals, they didn't let anything get into their head and they just played their game. Every team is going to run into that one game where the calls just aren't going their way. Yeah, it makes it a bit more difficult to succeed, but they can overcome it with a bit more effort and risk taking. Like Garrett said at the podium, you don't lay up at Augusta.
