I said god damn
that 27+ deficit stat was nice, only three times
34+? one
Brady is old.
Peyton Manning is older.
The problems for the Pats start with the offensive line, which has been a luxury for a really long time.
This article sums it up pretty well.

raiders fire their coach apparently.
in other news, sun rises.
I was waiting for the above comment....
I'm just glad Brady wasn't smart enough to retire before last season to conceal the evidence.
edit: Look at his stats so far against the perennial juggernauts that are the Miami Dolphins, Minnesota Vikings, Oakland Raiders, and Kansas City Chiefs:
- #27 in Completion % at 59.1
- #21 in Yards with 791
- #33 in Yards/Attempy at 5.77 (There are only 32 teams in the league)
- #21 in TDs with 4
He's been sacked nine times and fumbled five. He's thrown two INTs, which looks good on the surface, except that protecting the ball doesn't matter if you're not scoring either. Maybe he needs to take more chances. Welcome to many, many other QB's worlds for most of their careers. There's a reason he wasn't picked early, despite going to a tiny, overlooked school like Michigan.
edit2: I like Chris Collinsworth's statement that you can learn a lot about a statistic by who else is on the list. Here are the guys immediately above and below Brady in those four stats:
- Completion %: Geno Smith, Ryan Tannehill, EJ Manuel, and Nick Foles
- Yards: Manuel, Peyton Manning (in three games), Austin Davis (in three games), and Derek Carr
- Yards/Attempt: Matt Cassell, Tannehill, and Carr (there's only one guy worse)
- TDs: Matthew Stafford, Manuel, Smith, and Carr
Impressive company to be sure
This thread is too much fun this week:

edit2: What's hysterical about all these QB stats is how many of the awful ones are in the same division. Cassel and Henne used to be in it as well.Quote:
The six quarterbacks below Tom Brady in Total QBR (Tannehill, Locker, Cassel, G. Smith, Manuel and Henne) have all either split time or have been in quarterback controversies this season.
