I play Team Fortress 2 on a laptop, does that count as portable gaming?

If you're using public transportation, or riding in a car, or traveling in general, or staying at your grandparents' who wouldn't appreciate you ripping out their archaic VHS setup to hook in your Xbox1 (which probably wouldn't display an image on their shit TV anyway), or your hippie friend's apartment of course he doesn't own a TV, etc etc - portables come in handy

Portables are inferior to consoles. However, when consoles aren't an option, portables suffice.

Oh yeah, I'm not saying it makes any sense. And coincidentally, your sale example is how I justified my 3DS in the first place (Target Zelda black Friday).

I can't play whatever I want because assholes put a lot of it on handhelds.

I'd love to play all the Valkyria Chronicles games on the PS3 or Steam, but fuck me running backwards, only one of them is on either.

Sure, you could say I should get over it. And that would be fair if like 50 or even 60 % of rpgs were on portables. But it is like 99% of them. Each of the home systems gets like 2 or 3 a year if even that. 1 or 2 of them is going to be western brown gray garbage with one more tromp through not Tolkien land.

And you guys are so freaking happy about settling for mediocrity. VC looked so good on PS3 with the water color look. Its wasted on a 2x3 screen.

Well yeah. My guilt and self loathing aren't going to bury themselves.
