That's good! I don't know if Wacky Races is any good, but if it isn't I think you can sell it for a bit.
I've never played Wacky Races, but he's got three classics and a good bad game in there, nice haul.
Which one is the good bad?
Hint: the hero even tells you he's bad.
That was important information to have
Bad Dudes arcade was awesome, NES was ok
Gamestop had a sale this weekend. I got this for $99.

Melf just stole the biggest sucker on TNL crown from Joust. I'd take a SHIELD over a PlayStation TV any day.
It's ok to admit you don't know what a SHIELD is.
The Shield is stupid, but yea, it's probably a better buy than the Vita these days.
Lol I'll take the Shield over some god damn action figure craps
I have so much content for it already that when I see a PS TV for around $50 I'll have a hard time turning it down.
Picked up my Halo Collection today (been installing for an hour so far!). I was selling games at a convention in Pittsburgh Saturday and picked up a few things there and along the way.
Super Mario 3D Land - $15 new at Sears
Drone Tactics DS - $2 at GS
Shiren The Wanderer Wii - $3 at GS
Dead or Alive Dimensions NFRS Demo cart - $5
Gunblade NY/L.A. Machineguns Wii - $3
Did they fix the PS TV to play all Vita games? I seem to recall that it only played select games, which makes me not really care.
I don't plan on getting a Vita, since I have enough portables, but there quite a few games I want to play. It came with a PS3 controller (I only had one), and it was at a decent price, so I figured why not? Lots of PSP games are supported (Ys!).
GTAV on PS4, 2 hours and 12 minutes into the install it's at 61%, so
Picross e5, forgot this one had come out!
A stupid expensive knife.
Anarchy skill +2!
Complete Sega Genesis with two 6 button controllers and boxed copies of Sub Terrania and Street Fighter II for $10 ( dude talked himself down from $20)
K Mart had a ton of clearance, including the only two Wii U games I'm interested in at the moment:
Wonderful 101 Wii U $6
Rayman Legends Wii U $12
Call of Duty II Wii U $6
Asuras Wraith PS3 $6
God of War Ascension PS3 $8
Halo Reach 360 $8
With people selling off their DS collections for peanuts and a number of games getting pricey, I threw up a list of stuff I was looking for on Craigs. Got my first hit within 24 hours, $15 apiece complete :D

I paid full price for GTA V again because I'm a cunt.

My friend George just did a large buy and gave me GC component cables as my early Xmas gift @__@
I hadn't looked them up on eBay in a while. Ridic.
Any of you guys gotten a TV lately. I need to get a bigger one. I'm still using the small one I had from college.
I bought a 55" JVC LED for $550 (with Roku stick) at Costco. People complain about 60Hz but I have no problem with ghosting or blurry images. Certainly not the best TV but for the price/size, it is really good value. I also saw a 48" JVC LED for $430 (or $450) if you don't need 55".
Plasma or die.
I bought a plasma, and wouldn't buy another.
I really like mine, but I'll be honest, I am tempted to get something new this week
Considering nobody is making plasma TVs in 2015, a lot of people agree with me. It's dead technology.
If you're going to play games on it, look into the input lag factor. It's the single most important stat you won't see mentioned on any of the boxes.
Some are absolutely atrocious.
I kinda want that Samsung UHD TV for 900 at Amazon BF ;o
Most LED TVs have game mode that reduces lag. I am not a fighting man so I can't really comment on frame count blah blah.
The 2013-2014 plasmas did not have good input lag numbers. In some cases (the high end Panasonics) the numbers were worse than midrange LEDs.
Smash Bros Wii U.
Any of you know a good primer on how to play?
inb4 practice.
Unlock Duck Hunt dog, nod your head at this accomplishment, throw it up on Amazon quickly.
in before 'but the GameBoy Player!'
lol, emulate them shits.
I found what you bought!

This month so far just picked up Advanced Warfare and Far Cry 4. Super Smash Bros is a definite on Friday. Thinking about picking up Persona 3DS, and some older GBA stuff (Ninja Five-0 maybe).
How is Far Cry 4? Did you play 3?
You came a little
Had some business meetings at the Embassy of Sweden with the studios behind these games and got some signage.

4 is cool thus far, just finished act one. Yeah I played the hell out of 3. Too early in the game for me to say how 4 and 3 compare, but if you like 3, pretty sure you'll like 4.
Diff did you play 3? I love the Far Cry series. Granted, they're no Just Cause 2, but still
Yea, of course. Far Cry 3 is great.
So great. After a couple more hours, I have to agree with what a lot of reviews have said: the setting of Far Cry 4 isn't as cool or as pretty as 3. However, still a beautiful game. More important, the gameplay is hugely expanded - it's all very similar to the mechanics of Far Cry 3, but there are a lot of cool additions here that I won't spoil.
Already hoping that they do some sorta gonzo 80s add on like FC3 Blood Dragon
Smash Bros Wii U.
Samus Amiibo.

Picked up the Super Smash Bros. for Wii U Gamecube Controller Bundle and Pokemon Omega Ruby from Best Buy. A Nintendo Thanksgiving special for the second straight year, and this is the first time since soon after the Gamecube launch that I've held a brand new Gamecube controller. :)
Also bought the Link amiibo to try out, including with Hyrule Warriors and Mario Kart 8. Maybe what was available was already purchased that early, or stock didn't yet arrive, but I didn't see any of Marth, Wii Fit Trainer, and Villager there. The Link amiibo looks cool as does the Mario Kart 8 racing suit it unlocks.
Edit: Also found a copy of Mega Man ZX at that same BB earlier in the week, bought it for $12 with GCU.

Try Target I've seen those three there but no where else. They had two Marths, one perfectly fine, one fudged.
You'd think Nintendo could have designed these without awkward translucent supports everywhere. Link looks like he's sitting on a frozen block of piss.
I guess you could always pull that out of there and make your own with a toothpick and a dream.
The Villager's death defying foot tap even requires them!
Peach is clear but Link's is piss and Fox is blue.
Why?

All complete except for Mystical Fighter, which is missing the manual.
I picked up Far Cry 4 (PC). I've played about an hour of the game so far.
I finally found a copy of Pinball HOF: The Williams Collection ($20)for the PS3. This title is somewhat rare for the console, so the price was about right.
I also picked up Retro Gamer #134. The price is now $13 for a copy in the US. It's a celebration of the Saturn, so it was well worth the price.
Finally purchased a wired xbox360 controller. I was at best buy looking at tvs. I eventually left because the experience was annoying. The model numbers were in a small font about a foot above eye level. And the neck beard helpers were just trying to meet their commission and would not leave me alone to look up the input lag numbers on my own. One pointed me to the the most expensive LED tv in the size I wanted. The other wanted to show me a plasma. Neither knew anything about the input lag.
I also picked up
Metal Mech: Man and Machine
Blaster Master
Double Dragon
Section Z
Little nemo Dream Master
the adventures of LOLO
black wii controller set to use with my black wii U.
Whole lot, for 55
The store I got Metal Mech ad Section Z at was also annoying. While I was browsing, a 12 year old kid was informing his other 12 year old friend of his vast video game knowledge. Explaining what a nes was and how he owned every Nintendo system except for the one before the nes that he couldn't remember. And The cashier felt the need to instruct me on correct nes cart care and the history of nes cart care. Which I guess worked in my favor because he cleaned the cart pins for me.
I'm becoming an old man. I kind of hate shopping now. Other people are so insufferable. And everything is so expensive. And there is just so much blind consumerism and whoreism. I mean, does there really need to be 200 different bits of batman mirch i a store? Batman bath sets, 10 separate toy lines, candy sets, radio toppers, pez dispensers, on and on.
(I think some of this comes from the interet and having a job. You go to work, you don't deal with this shit. You come home and check your websites, you don't deal with this shit. Play games, don't deal with this shit. Watch netflix, don't deal with this shit. Then you go out 6 weeks before christmas and its just a god damn onslaught of rabid consumerism.)
This is definitely the worst time to go to b&m stores.
On a happier note, I spent the morning testing old games. Some of the later nes titles are really cool looking. Other than the limited pallet, stuff like Monster in your pocket, Kirby, Metal Storm, look and play great.
Does anyone have any recommendations on other games that really pushed the nes?
Tested some gameboy games on the Super Gameboy. Game and Watch collection 3 is pretty rad. Does anyone know what they did with those pre gameboy color games to have custom colors and tv display screen frames? The classic game and watch games have frames that look like game ad watch hand helds. Ad Metabots gets the robot colors right. How would it know that metabee was yellow, pre GBC?
Also tested Mario All Stars. Holy Shit. This is kind of rad. I had no idea they remade the games with what looks like the Super Mario World assets.
Castlevania III (US Version's still pretty rad), Batman Revenge of the Joker (looks better than the Genesis version, plays meh, but wow!), Recca Summer Carnival '92 (looks and plays better than TG16 shmups), Power Blade, Prince of Persia (pretty great NES port).
It belongs on the list, but that's way too broad a statement.
This...
...does not look better than this...
...though it is closer than it has any business being, given the hardware. If we want to include Famicom releases, Crisis Force should be mentioned too.
edit: Actually, you could almost just generalize and say anything Konami did late in the life cycle is impressive.
edit2: Here is an article with more specific examples, many of which Yeller mentioned.
Gameboy game roms all have some kind of unique id in the header or something, and the Super Gameboy has custom palettes and often backgrounds programmed for most Nintendo games.
Yeller is off.
Bucky O Hare and Shatterhand pop to mind as well.
(I suspect I was remembering Shatterhand when I said Power Blade)
I bought too many things this weekend.
I got an iPad Air 2 through a contest at work. Seeing that 16GB was the default and knowing how bad I am with file management, I paid up to the next capacity rank of 64GB. Big damn jump there. Guess Apple REALLY wants to make that 16GB model seem useless, don't they?
Then I picked up the Smart Cover for it.
After that came Smash Bros and the amiibos I picked up last night. I chose Yoshi, Link for the girlfriend, and Villager whose feet look to be stuck in some kind of silica-based snow pile. Gross.
It's semen.
That's not snow.
*ninja'ed!*
Literally a Jizztrap.
A special gift from Reggie?
Well, his body WAS ready...
Had a little time yesterday to look around. Stopped by a pawn shop I'd found stuff in the past, all Wii games were $5, SNES games were $10.
Attachment 75550
Block away at Goodwill found a stack of Genny carts. Labels (as usual) look awful, might replace them. On the way out of town stopped by Wal Mart the "preowned" section had a ton of $5 games. Heard Spirit Camera is underwhelming so $5 seemed the right price to try it, not expecting much from Green Lantern but Griptonite's super hero games can be fun.

Do you have every video game yet, Low? You've gotta be at least close what with your thrift store luck.
It's pretty nuts, aside from 3DS I don't really buy new games anymore, just clearance and thrift finds. There's a number of PS3 and Vita games I'd like to find before they disappear. Big downside is I'm playing a lot less and spending more time disassembling and cleaning the stuff.
Went looking for a Dreamcast VGA cable. Found an AV to at least play games for now and this little ditty.

Thanks |-) .
I know people are caught up in retro game hunting but this is prime time to pick up any Wii games of interest. Been to a lot of pawn shops that ask premium for New Super Mario or Smash but dump everything else off to the side. I suspect Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is going to see a spike at some point and a few others. DS games like Spirit Tracks and Retro Game Challenge that were budget just a few years back are bumping up already. The PS3 has a ton of late release exclusives as well.
As nice as that'd be, they go for far too much. I'll order a 3rd party jam and roll the dice.
Did find what seems to be a never used controller though, in the bag they come in with the system.
I've been thinking that exact thing about Wii and DS games, and am kicking myself for selling some of my DS games (Spirit Tracks included) in recent years as well as not buying others when I had the chance. After getting the aforementioned Mega Man ZX, I recently checked some of the other big stores locally and didn't find much of note, but I did order a few games this weekend that I'll post about when they arrive.
I should look for some local shops that might be selling games, following your lead.
Best Buy has a B2G1F sale on pre-owned games, and GCU stacks with it, so I'm tempted to put in an order on games like Mario Kart Wii, Mario Kart DS, and similar titles. However I'm not so sure how well that will turn out so I haven't pulled the trigger.
Attachment 75558
Finally. I'm not sure I'm going to open it until I get a better place than I currently have to display it, but I'll post better pictures in the toy thread after I am done working.
Got a really nice condition PS2 Phat today with the network adapter and a 120GB hard drive. Yes, evil is afoot.
One day maybe when I'm old and worn away. I'm really in the middle of rebuilding my genesis collection of games I loved years ago.
Maybe I might trade some DS titles for Genesis shit who knows... I was looking thru my box and found a complete copy of Super Princess Peach that I thought I'd lost years ago. lol
