two radiohead songs in one episode.
I'll have to watch it again because I kept falling asleep. I started it around 1am which is actually 2am thanks to daylight savings time.

This episode was KILLER. As gamers (at least once upon a time) Maeve making herself OP as hell by altering her attributes was pretty heart warming. Satsuki's probably right about how quickly they can adapt compared to how slow humans are. The chick engineer (not sure her name) going alone in the dark was pretty predictable, but it's very well done. The fact that they gave us some information (just enough to start putting together a conspiracy) is pretty great.
This show is turning sinister. Next episode must be all Adventures of White Hat and Dolores since they weren't in this episode.
This is pretty good. Not so much a theory; more an overview of what Bicameral Mind is and how it relates to the evolving subconscious of Westworld's AI.
Yeah that's pretty good.
Some design nerds have put forth solid evidence that we are actually dealing with multiple points of time in the history of Westworld. Their evidence? Different logos being utilized in the background of the Westworld facility.
great video, sedition. good find!
I'm not 100% of the multiple timeline theory yet but I'm certainly open to it.
I agree with the 2 timeline idea, it's got some good supporting evidence.
Props to whoever made the robot boy VFX last episode. That shit was nuts.
Oh my god.
Oh my god, oh my god.
It wasn't all that surprising to find out Bernard was a host, they kind of telegraphed that shit from the get go, but damn was it terribly depressing to see him struggle with the realization. I guarantee, that host being built in the basement is a replacement for Theresa. Ford has been "taking her measurements" so to speak, and even mentioned something about studying her looks in one of the first episodes. So fucking creeeeeeeeepy.
Yeah, been assuming that for quite a while so no huge surprise, but still really well done.
yeah, we all knew it, and it still hurt.
How much of the WW staff are hosts replaced by Ford???????? IS THE ENTIRE COMPANY A HOST?
Many people were pointing out that when Bernard said, "What door?" it became obvious what he was, which is such a great touch. A terrifying one, but great.
Oh, also - Dolores painting the canyon river scene before she saw it in person: doesn't that kind of prove that she's seen this exact scenario before?
Hold the door.
What door?
HBO crossover: WesterosWorld
I've watched four episodes.
I think it is kind of dumb.
And too up its own ass.
Don't say that I was looking forward to it.
A lot of this last episode was kind of terrible up until Bernard party, but that was amazing. My money was on Theresa as a host before this ep, but I'll be right as of next week!
Soooo just watched. Do you think he murdered the original Bernard or just built him secretly? I love this development as we have a de facto big bad now. Also I really liked Teresa so I'm a bit bummed. So basically Ford has created an entire universe where he's the true God and decision maker. He has his own secret host monitoring the other hosts and keeping tabs as his ears. Fuck this guy is so cerebral it's awesome
This show is exploring such weird existential territory. Great stuff. Diff you're way overstating "up its own ass" but whatever. I think it's presenting the ideas quite well.
It's well made and a fun concept to designed to explore themes and ideas not usually done up this way.
It is up it's own ass but that's okay, at least it's trying.
Maeve is def Queen Bitch
Okay, Hannibal is definitely a robot that Arnold created and rebelled and killed him. Also, when Maeve scalpeled the dude - is he a human? Like, do those tools work on normal humans? Or is the entire staff hosts?
Yeah, he's human it seems.
"How would you like me to proceed?"
How many times have we heard Bernard say that line? I'm still loving the hell out of this show, but I feel like they're really dragging their feet on Dolores/William and The Man In Black story lines. I'm frightened the big reveal won't be all that shocking since they're dragging it out so long.
Seems alright to me. This season has been a lot of pretty great establishing stories.
So Arnold's game I'm assuming is the awakening of consciousness in the hosts? The maze represents the psychology of sentience I guess? Someone's always dying when it comes around. I assume Maeve has basically won then.
I think those key words are that the dad spoke to Dolores are what woke her up, and Dolores spoke them to Maeve. think those are universa? or does it only effect the the Dolores/Maeve generation of hosts?
My guess is they're effected not because they're old (specifically) but because they've been exposed to enough trauma to rewrite their subroutines.
so far the only clear evidence to that its a dual timeline thing, is that the corporate chick said Ford unearthed some town ou on the fringes for his storyline. and when we go to Billy/Dolores its still buried. it was also buried when ford first found it.
Woooooooow.
I thought last week's was the best but holy shit.
I have to watch it again because I was trying to get Star Wars tickets the whole time through the worthless local IMAX site.
William -> Man in Black. Two timelines Check!
Bernarnold Check!
FUUUUUUUUUUUCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK fuck.
MCPOYLE IS SO COOL
WAIT WAIT WAIT.
What if this is Bill and Ted 3.
Bill S Preston Esq and Theodore Logan

So fucking brutal, poor Bernard. His voice actually changed to Arnold's voice when he said "Robert" right at the end there.
Yeah, but William started to accept that it was a game. He even mentions it after he cuts up all of the hosts.
There are all sorts of clues, obviously, but two of the main things I saw in the last episode were:
1. They use the same knife.
2. The picture Logan hands William of (Logan's sister/William's fiancée) is the same picture Delores' dad finds in the dirt in the first episode.
Also the church is Ford's current narrative... so it makes sense the Man in Black is there. The original hosts' minds that are still operating move through time as they trigger past memories.
Yeah, I still like the two timelines idea but it's still not confirmed nor is the Man in Black's identity.
I read an entertaining thought this morning, what if Billy is just a fakeout and the Man in Black is actually Logan, with the incident being Billy getting killed?
Oh shi-
Ed Harris doesn't look like a war boy, so why would they hire an actor that does to play him as a younger person?
To throw us off.
At least they aren't trying something like the creepy young Anthony Hopkins cg monstrosity they have.
One theory is that Logan gets killed and they make the host Hector in his image.
That kind of doesn't hold water after Bernard and Arnold though.
Like, he would just be the same actor.
I thought the same thing.. it's funny they look alike though.
For Real. wassup with the security tech. dude just got ambushed out of the blue. who set him up? cus the only people that could override the voice functions are Bernard,Ford, and Maeve. but its not like he's snooping around or anything. He's just doing his job. Unless Elsie didn't die, and sent out that ghost signal, and had the Ghost Nation grab him.
Also, why didn't he seem more alarmed about Elsie missing for so long? I think he's a robot too. I think like 90% of the staff is robots.
Could ghost nation be people squatting in the park?
Pretty sure Ford knows everything that is happening with pretty much everyone, Maeve included, except for maybe Delores. So I'm sure he's behind security guy getting abducted
Y'all gotta chillllllll with those first sentence Tapatalk thread preview spoilies.
Right. The memory doesn't actually show him kill her. Just choking her.and they have proven the last thing you can trust is the memory of a host.
This one is for you Sats

It's clear to me he's deliberately trying to awaken Dolores' conscience and sentience, having seen her awaien in his youth. Years late he's deciphered "Arnold's game". He's unaware Maeve is already awaken and pretty evil. I wonder if Dolores will be the "good" robot.
Also so did nobody recognize Bernard as Arnold?
I watched episode nine again as way able to pay attention to it this time. Some of the timeline stuff is pretty clear.
This article compiles a lot of the timeline information decently if you are interested.
Holy Shit!
Oh god there is no center, it's an endless, meaningless loop
Its finally been broken though.
Or has it?!?
It's a pretty neat take on determinism. This stuff is what makes the show great.
What's happening now has only happened with tge first massacre because Arnold made it happen. This was a choice that was made by someone. It was left up to them. You want freedom? You know what You have to do. And it happenened.unless this is a new loop.
The was one hell of a finale, good shit.
BUT - Why the hell wasn't Ford surprised to see Bernard alive again? Was that all part of Maeve's new narrative, to "rescue" Bernard? I don't think she was ever supposed to leave the park, just provide a distraction while Ford slaughtered the board, and to sneak out information to further hurt Delos (she left her purse on the train when she got off).
That's ir exactly. Bernard said she was just following a new narrative someone wrote for her. Nothing she has done was her idea. She hasn't awoken yet. I'm guessing finding her daughter will do it.

the comments in this are SOMETHING ELSE! My mind!!!!!!
So... what happened to security dude and ghost nation then? Can't wait for s2.
This show just got better and better as it went along.
Honestly I was about ready to give up on it, i was really bored by it for the last few episodes. If the finale wasn't any good I probably would walk away at this point.
But she still just followong a narrative. She really thought her choices were her own. But she is still a puppet. I think the choice of leaving or going to her daughter is what will do it for her though.
You're both correct though.
Spoilers below! Be warned!
Ford had created an "awakening" narrative for Maeve using loss (in this case the loss of her "daughter") as the catalyst like he stated to Dolores/Arnold/himself was necessary for sentience and behavioural change. From Ford's point of view, strategically, I think the whole point of this narrative was to get Maeve out of the facility for protection. It stands to reason Dolores and others are in grave danger due to the nature of the consciousness initiative. Since the hosts would (obviously) face violent opposition from humans for their declaration of independence having hosts outside of the park serves to aid their revolution from two fronts. I imagine much of season 2 will involve Ford's narrative continuing much like Arnold's had for years after his death.
So basically events were designed to have her get on the train and leave—but her getting off and going to find her kid was a end result of her newly granted free will. I doubt Ford would have approved but that is the rub with free will isn't it?
I saw that as Maeve's first real choice too. She's sitting on that train for 15 minutes debating what to do. The look in her eyes change, her walk changes and the camera work goes handheld as she walks off. Before that, it's always gliding with her.
AIGHHHHHHHHHH
ITS ON TONIGHT AAAAA
HBO sub reactivated!
THAT WAS AMAZING
Ya, that was some good shit. Where is Armistice?
MCPOYLE’S EVIL WESTERN FANTASY PARK
also if that actor doesn’t play Martin Shkreli in a made for TV movie I’m going to blow up the moon.
So episode 2 was kind of a mess.
Yeah, I don't know what to make of it.
yeah i thought it was good too :(
It was, what do you call it... not good.
you're wrong!!! EVIL MCPOYLE IS A MARVELOUS ADDITION
I didn’t like the first episode of S2. It took me way too long to put together the timeline of what was happening.
I liked episode 2, It was great to see more of Logan and William, which is the most interesting story at the moment while Maeve is an Eartha Kitt-Catwoman-bot.
Piano version of “Runaway” could have played for longer, so good.
I want some of Logan's future smack.
OOHHHHHHHHHHHHHGHHHHHHHGGH
JAPANWORLD
Teddy got a black hat
Well, that was boring as hell. Dolores' endless cheesy pontification is starting to wear thin.
Thought this and last episode were great.
I just hope Teddy is the one to take out Dolores / Wyatt.
Yes, yes I am.
Episode 3 still sucked.
