Everything else in the movie that got tendrilled had that 'extruded spikes' look to it, that copter didn't. I had thought maybe the other cargo copter shot them down somehow, but couldn't make sense of that either.

I just realised that you're talking about the helicopter the squad flew in on and not the one that Waller was supposed to extract in. Ya I don't remember how it got shot down.
The Waller one was for-sure tentacle'd.
I just saw it this morning, the first helicopter is shot down by gun fire. Which later on when we see Enchatress' troops they can fire guns and shit, so I would assume it was them.
I liked it, wasn't great but it was fun, and again way better than rotten tomatoes and critics would make you think it was.
I call bullshit on that. We don't see drone troops with guns until quite some time afterwards. :DQuote:
