I picked up a GameStick (lol) from Gamestop since they had them on clearance for $17. I'll probably just fuck around with it for a few days and forget it, but meh, it's cheap enough. The thing is useless out of the box, but it's easy to load stock Android on it, and is super tiny. Gonna leave it in the computer room for emulator use.
Not that computer!
Got Pac-Man Collection for Atari 7800 (Homebrew) in the mail a few days ago. Still waiting on Nichibutsu Collection SFC and Galaxian FC (hopefully today).
Edit: Nichibutsu Collection and Galaxian arrived today!
A new battery for my stupid vehicle. And gloves.
Metal Slug 1, 2, X, and 3 on iOS for $0.99 each. Viva la Mfi!
X has red blood so far. I did get the Mad Catz one, and I like it. You're not going to mistake it for the 360 controller or a DS4, but it's very good.
I'm not happy with $50 for an IOS controller. It's an improvement from $100 but still steep.
It's cheaper than a current gen console controller. All of them are arguably too damn expensive, but these are no longer out of line at least.
yeah but with a current gen controller you can play current gen games
with an ios controller you can play creepy rob lowe
ok, Agent of SHIELD
Dropped into Walgreens for a gallon of milk and found that Intellivision Flashback system clearanced to $25. They had the two Genny clones clearanced as well but couldn't pull the trigger. Part of me would love the TG-16 to get this treatment but hearing feedback on the Genesis Flashback, its best not to sully the consoles name with off-emulation.
TRU also came through on my Pit preorder from November:

Mega Man and Shulk plz, then I'm out.
Low, you chose wisely.
Thanks to ARBM, DmC and ME3 (PS3)
OMG I'm 2 happy 4 U 2 C!
3D Afterburner II, because I'm a good person.
Yeah... I'm coming to terms that I probably won't be able to keep my current 3DS at the Homebrew Firmware if I want to transfer to the new XL. Might as well just update it and get 3DABII. I'll still sell cubic ninja with it so maybe an idiot will hope that they'll figure out a hack for later firmware.
I can't wait to try out the weird story mode as John Afterburner.
Yes. I got that and this other stuff this month -

I got Burnout Paradise from the PSN sale. I've not played it and am looking forward to doing so.
Sega Games Can?
It's a compilation of games originally released for the Meganet modem service. I wanted this one mostly for Penguin Land.

A bunch of stuff on the eShop:
Etrian Odyssey Untold
Devil Survivor Overclocked
Castlevania II & III
Link's Awakening DX
Last week I also picked up physical copies of A Link Between Worlds and Fantasy Life. Once I have Persona Q I think I'm probably good through 2015.
More stuff on eShop:
Game & Watch Gallery 2
3D After Burner II
I received a 20,000 wage garnishment from unpaid Owl taxes.
They caught up with me.
Boo.
holy shit lol
IRS is the only effective branch of the government.
pay it in straight cash, homey
Take it to the local branch plunk it down and exclaim "FUCK WHAT YOU HEARD".
A fine haul today! Three books: Homicide: A Year on the Killing Streets, and Cinema Sewer Volumes 2 and 3; also two fancy ass ASCII FT2 controllers from PaCrappa came in the mail with a rad little comic. Thanks dude!
Tomb Raider The Definitive Edition (PS4) for $30 from Fry's.
My company hooked me up with a 2015 Toyota Tacoma work truck. It's much nicer than the 2014 model I was driving.
After going through our records it turns out they're about 8 grand high since it was based on sales tax estimates. Then like 5k of it is fees. All told it should be more in the neighborhood of 14k.
Still a delightful time!
What is 8 grand high Icarusfall?
His Tax Man Visitation to His Wallet report.
They estimated the sales tax instead of relying on the actual numbers for several months. It amounts to about 8 grand too much.
More clearance finds:
K-Mart
South Park stick of Truth PS3 $10
Modnation Racers Vita $4
Lego City Undercover Wii U $30 ( bit high but I'm intrigued by it)
A ton of $5 clearance 3DS and DS games
Shopko
Mario 3D Land Wii U $20
Pokemon Gates to Infinity 3DS $15
And Sams Club version of the Colecovision Flashback $20
What is unique about the Sam's Club one?
Extra game, right? I think the Dollar General one had more overlays.
Retailer exclusives have to be the worst thing ever.
It comes with some extra controller overlays I think.
The Dollar General one has an extra game.

$8.00 and $19.99, respectively, from the PlayStation Anniversary Sale, though I used credit card points, so they were actually free-ish.
If Danganronpa had been on sale before, I missed it.
I have the Dollar General one. I haven't been motivated enough to take it out of the trunk of my car yet.
Got Citizens of Earth for review last week, and I bought the Jak and Daxter Collection for $8, the Ratchet and Clank Collection for $12, and WipEout for $2.50 thanks to the giant PSN sale.
How's that 7-11 pizza holding up?
Hey now, that's a reasonably okay value if you're willing to accept sub-par pizza on a regular basis.
New Shelves for the man cave. Behold, my Wall of Sega!
Attachment 75880 Attachment 75881
The red paint really does work perfectly with so many of the Genesis boxes - good looking room!
Thanks! I still have to redo the other side. Now that I have the shelves, I can move some stuff around.
Quite the upgrade from those little racks you used to have.
Are you making an inappropriate comment about his daughters? Good lord, man.
...
I just got Pushmo World and Game & Watch Manhole from the eShop. I also ordered a replacement battery cover for my Game & Watch Mario's Cement Factory handheld.
Cashed in 7699 Sony points for a PS4 The Order faceplate and $50 Sony bucks, which I used* on the following:
Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain ($1.99)
Front Mission 3 ($2.99)
Legend of Mana($2.99)
Persona 2 EP ($6.99)
My 3DS may never get booted up again.
* Make this "plan" on using. Apparently we get 10% off this weekend?
oh, and fuck Sony for charging me 200 points for "tax" for the faceplate. Wtf.
Yeah, the tax on items that actually have to be shipped is BS.
That's a whole lot of Sega love right there. ;)
I picked up a couple of items this week.
Dark Souls II (Hardbound) Collector's Edition guide. I got it from Half-Price-Books for $13.
Grand Theft Auto V (PS4) for $40 from Fry's. The price jumps back up to $60 on the 23rd.

Picked up one of these since I figure if I have a future computer in my pocket it might as well play a few games. It works pretty well at turning my phone into a PSP Go, although it's kinda hard to hit diagonals on the dpad making most fighters unplayable. However, I also grabbed Soul Calibur off of Google Play, and surprisingly it works great with the controller and my old phone. Although the dpad is so-so, the buttons on the thing are fantastic. Not bad for $20.
Grabbed the Resident Evil ReRemakeHD2015 on PS4 and gave it a whirl. It must have been at least 15 years since I've played (a version of) this game, I dunno what I'm doing! Got to the room with the knight statues that murder you when you take the key, took the key. Then played a little more until I grabbed the Sword emblem key. This game still makes me uneasy at points, great sound design so far.
90s comic book?
Picked up nes from dude off fb for $35 with Mario and controllers, opened up to find punch-out inside! Also got an xbox and n64 with a bunch of decent games and shitload of controllers for $70 total, fb is the way to go for finds these days.
What is FB, and how did you not own any of those consoles?
Facebook?
Yeah, Facebook.
The local yokels around us put stuff up there for pennies.
Yeah, you have to have dumbass friends or friends of friends for that to work.
Nah, join yard sale groups.
Edit: I haven't but Brett and my mom tell me that's where stuff seems to sell.
I found my old NES the other week, they go for $100 now? That is insane.
Box NES' or toploaders? I have like 2 Boxed box NES'.
The groups I'm in are the opposite, they post hauls for their shelf and pay double what shit is worth. Then I call them dumb fucks and a cancer to video gaming.
"But I paid 60 for this new, you're already ripping me off at 50"
Best haul.
I wish I would have caught this the first time he posted it, but why the PS1 version of Persona 2 instead of the PSP one?
Eternal Punishment's PSP remake never got a release here. You're probably thinking of Innocent Sin.
Oops. Indeed I was.
edit: I'm glad I asked. I exercised a bit more restraint:
Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain (PS1, $1.99)
Persona 2: Eternal Punishment (PS1, $6.99)
Persona 2: Innocent Sin (PSP, $9.99)
The total after the code was $17.07, which of course came from credit from Sony Card points. I think I'm caught up on digital SMT games now, caught on meaning purchased. I'll finish them all in about 2020.
I guess I could mention that I own all of those already, physically.
But I like the option of playing stuff on my Vita and RPGs via PS3's lagginess don't bother me.
Persona 2 EP is about the only thing I still "need" digitally. But it will be $5 sooner or later, and I'm patient.
I'm still pretty pissed that we didn't get the PSP remake of EP.
The PSX version is pretty good, though. I've always felt like that was the first release from the "modern" Atlus we know today. Leagues better than any other localizations we were getting at the time, save for Working Designs' stuff.
blowhard, blowhard, blowhard, fucking blowhard. Fuck King blowhard.
While I don't like a lot of game play changes Vic and Co. incorporated, I did like a lot of them too.
Like GameFan, WD might have done a lot of dumb things. I can admit they weren't perfect. But you could tell their heart was in the right place, and that they were a fan of what they were doing. I'll take some reference to some president's name that I have a chance of getting over some reference to some stupid japanese name that I'd never "get."
Not gonna lie, I get pretty mad playing WD translations, especially when they fucked with the game code which was like 99% of the time a bad idea. What they did to Silhouette Mirage could be considered a hate crime.
I don't hate them and I have/play their games, but it's weird. I was a kid when this shit came out, and I thought it was juvenile then. They were not children, though, which is the confusing part.
Also, I don't think there were weird Japanese cultural references to television shows and personalities in something like Lunar. I think the NPCs said some boring, generic RPG stuff that I would have glossed over instead of mentioning fucking Star Search which was dumb then and so dated now that my blood pressure is going up as I type this I'm so mad.
Do you get that angry about Robotech?
How about taking the gay relationships out of sailor moon?
I will take the Lunar we got with WD at the helm as opposed to one we wouldnt have got without them.
