I was at the game and the slide looked even dirtier in person than on T.V...and this is coming from a lifelong Dodgers fan. It was pretty eerie to be cheering while slowly realizing Tejada couldn't get back up. Definitely not a clean slide by Utley. However, I was happy to see my Dodgers get the win and tie up the series!
Utley is a scumbag and needs to be dealt with. Next time he steps up to the plate against the Mets he knows exactly what is headed his way. Bush league garbage and the replay call was complete bullshit.
Well, it's Game Three for Jays/Rangers. I really think it's possible for this Jays team to rally and win this game.
If not, at least I get to watch this game on Thanksgiving weekend with my mom, the biggest Jays fan I know.

You can't watch that play, though - even at regular speed - and say, "He didn't mean to take Tejada down." You can't. Keep in mind, he's done this before - to Ruben Tejada. That was willful and deliberate.
No matter what, Chase Utley should have immediately been ejected by the umpires. Since that didn't happen, Mattingly should have had the class to pull him for a pinch runner. Since that didn't happen, I now hope the Dodgers lose the series.
Utley got suspended for 2 games.
