Seriously though Gomez is a good player and a good move for the Mets. Don't believe the bullshit you hear about him. I seen him play a ton over the years and he will be a positive help to the teams' attitude and he's a pretty great at bat.

The trade is a no-go. Nobody knows why but it looks like there will be no deal.
Phils trade Hamels to the Rangers for some decent prospects. I don't think it's a good trade for the Rangers and it will be a few years for the Phils but it finally happened. Hamels was an excellent player on the Phils; I remember watching his debut. It's a shame the front office fucked this team up so bad (with all the money they have to spend) where they have to trade a player like Hamels but I'm glad they did in the current circumstances.
The Rangers have a lot of holes which is why I don't think it's good for them but I'd be happy to see Cole in another World Series. I think Jimmy Rollins has a good shot with the Dodgers this year.
This has been a weird baseball season for me. I have not followed the Phillies closely because of how bad they are and Tampa Bay has been a questionable contender at best. I've been mostly neutral this year but it has been a damn good overall season so far. September will be an exciting month I think.
Mets probably saw a montage of Gomez base running fails.
JAYS ACQUIRE DAVID FUCKING PRICE!!!
Fucking Mets were up by 2 runs and only needed 1 more god damn out to win the game. Familia blew it and now the Padres are up by one in the 9th with the game in a rain delay. I don't know why I bother with this team sometimes.
Mets gonna met. It's how it goes.
The Ranger's pitching rotation has been killing them all season. Just look at what happened in the Yankees game the other night. Matt Harrison was coming back from a serious back injury, so losing him in the trade wasn't that big of a deal.
The Rangers have an outstanding farm system, and even though they let Philly have several of their prospects, they kept Gallo, who has already proven that he can play in the big league. The odds of those other prospects panning out as really good players isn't that high of a percentage. If they all turn out to be studs, the loss is on the Rangers. If only one manages to be an okay player, then I think that the Rangers got the better deal.
So Carlos Gomez heads to Houston. Guess the Astros' doctors didn't have an issue Gomez's hips.
