Wait, it was always announced for PC, what are they talking about with No Man's Sky?
just that it won't come out any later than on PS4
Yoshi looks surprisingly good and not too simple. Super Mario Maker looks fucking brilliant. I'm going to have to fight the urge to buy another one when that comes out.
You should pick up the Wii U again, if for nothing else than the fact that it still has the best console exclusives out of the big three. I couldn't imagine selling the system that has exclusive games like Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, Splatoon, and Bayonetta 2. Meanwhile, if Xenoblade Chronicles X is half as good as the first 3DS game, that I'm playing through right now, then the system is going to have the best RPG this side of Witcher 3. The problem with Nintendo systems is that they always have the most quality exclusives, but the lack of 3rd party support and the fact that the exclusives release so far apart, make it seem like there is nothing to play on the system. I'm not sure why Ninteno refuses to compete with Sony and Microsoft in the console market. If they released a system as powerful as the XBONE and the PS4, and received the same third party titles those systems do, then Nintendo would arguably be at the top of the console race.
Nintendo refuses to sell hardware at a loss, so if they released a PS4-like console, it would be $600 or something. They'd still be at the bottom.
I don't think the PS4 is sold at a loss though.
Plus they sold, the GC, Wii (i think), and even the Wii U at a loss. Maybe not as large of a loss as the PS3 but they were sold at losses.
Wii was not sold at a loss. They made money on every one they sold.
Sony isn't selling the PS4 at a loss either.
I'm less disappointed about Nintendo's Digital Event now I've watched most of the Treehouse segments.
Metroid Prime: Federation Force looks really fun and will probably be viable online. It's early on, so hopefully the graphics will get tuned up, I think it's more of a style problem than an actual graphics problem, the UI looks so low rent. Will probably get.
Zelda: Triforce Heroes looks really fun as well, but I don't think the online coop is going to work unless you know the people. For this reason I don't think I'll get it, Four Swords was never fun solo.
Starfox 0 looks good, I'm not really concerned at all about the graphics. I'm more concerned that in the Treehouse segments not one person was able to control it well, even the developers and play testers that have presumably had a lot of time with it. There was this part in one of the segments were the playtester could not kill Pigma for WAY TOO LONG, when it presumably was the first intro to dogfights? Will probably get.
Super Mario Maker looks amazing and that was expected. Will get.
I've already got Yoshi's Wooly World pre-ordered and will get it next week.
Fire Emblem & Yokai Watch look rad. Will get.
As for the Animal Crossing shit, the FE crossover and Mario Tennis. Nope.
Nintendo's puppets are pretty great. I think they hit the mark for their Core Nintendo Audience, for the most part.
http://www.toughpigs.com/henson-nintendo/ i suspected it was the Jim Henson company but it was one of those "No.... couldn't actually be..." things
The puppets looked better than some of the games Nintendo showed.
Some?
I have this irrational hatred of puppets. It's not a phobia, anything like that, they just make me mad that people find them amusing. It infiltrated many things as a child. Hated Sesame Street, The Dark Crystal, etc. for whatever reason it doesn't extend to animatronics, or practical effects.
i want to post gifs of those puppets but knowing that i feel like it would be more mean than it would be funny.
He probably saw Chucky, and it has haunted him ever since.
I thought there was going to be a punchline at the end ;(
You're the punchline.
