I interact with conservatives on a daily bases. They are wrong by blaming all African Americans for the minority of criminals and being prejudiced for it. Liberals are equally wrong for including criminals into the African American community as if they are one in the same. It's disrespectful to law abiding blacks, encouraging to the law-breakers, and by constantly associating the two, perpetuates the stereotype.
I don't like that those two got co-opted, as I used them all the time and I meant urban or inner city. Rochester has a large poor white and hispanic city population. So when I said urban, I wasn't codifying black. I also assumed most cities had poor of all races living in them, but apparently I was wrong.Quote:

No difference. A racist sees that group of kids and calls them thugs, just like they call looters and rioters thugs. They only do this when the group of kids or the rioters/looters are majority black because it's code language. More often than not, this is intentional. However, I have observed people who are just "going with the flow" and don't realize they are perpetuating racism.Quote:
