There's a difference between the degree of sway needed to get your boss to give you a quarter and the degree of sway needed for the mass scale voting influence you seem to be suggesting.

The Democrats still cater to the union bosses for some reason, right? They seek out endorsements and get on stage with them and what not.

Possibly to help perpetuate their belief that they are doing something to help the union worker.

Who are Republicans getting endorsements from to serve this same purpose in respect of the same union worker?

Whose belief? I doubt they're lying to themselves, and union bosses don't care about union workers any more than the Democrats do. They both just want their cut.

Why are we talking about unions in a us with republican supported farm subsidies?

And how do unions relate to this thread?

It devolved from bbobb's claim about police, but it was also related to the urban voting patterns.

As you know, I'm not a fan of farm subsidies, but I suspect less food would be produced if they were taken away, which would add a different problem for Baltimore or exacerbate an existing one.

Can we attribute urban voting patterns to something more specific (or at least more expansive) than union buyout and sway?
