What the fuck that was an amazing opener. There were a lot of homages to some seriously rad things in that episode.
The Phil Collins song they picked for the money burn scene was perfect.
So the current theory is
Elliot is in either a mental institution or in prison right now. The rigidity of his daily life, that meeting with Gideon in his "room" that seemed really awkward and the positioning was more along the lines a meeting in a visitors room, the fact that Angela has QWERTY the fish.
It makes so much sense. Going to watch it again tomorrow looking for that

I was watching last night and couldn't help but feel this show is a tad unbelievable. The ladies house being entirely on-the-grid (including water temperature, huh?). fsociety growing yet being hunted seems strange. But with Elliot being as demented as he is maybe that's the great thing about it. I don't know how long a series can go like this one is before imploding on itself but oh well. It was a great episode nonetheless.
