I don't think this one had a thread yet, but it will be directed by Jurassic World's Colin Trevorrow.
Hopefully it will have a better script than Jurassic World.
Honestly I feel like we should just have an Official Star Wars Thread (and an Official Marvel Cinematic Universe Thread for that matter) at this point.
Honestly I feel we should have an official Space Pirate Roberts thread, so that you can not be annoyed by other threads in this forum.
And vice versa
Combining threads is a silly idea with so little active members. Check your OCD bro
Star Wars IX: The Rise of Skywalker
It's going to be crap.
You're going to shut up.
Obviously, the girl doesn't understand that you win this war by saving what you love, not killing what you hate.
Pass.
I clapped when I saw the new robot!
I can't wait to purchase licensed material This Holiday Season.
Alien Tit Milk Playset for everyone!
So that's why Disney stock is up 10% today, because investors didn't know Star Wars was coming out this year yesterday.
That or Disney+ ar 6.99 in November. One of the two.
Yeah, investors don't give a shit about the star wars announcements today.
Fuck their streaming service
Woohoo
You got stock in Netflix?
Netflix's Market Value Dropped $8 Billion After the Disney Plus Announcement

Begun the streaming wars have.
No one really cares about streaming Disney.
Also, I hope it fails because disney does dumb shit like release low quality animation on DVDs, while putting the HD version on Amazon and iTunes where you have to pay 2.99 an episode.
Nope, I don't invest in this sector (at least not directly). If you sub to a lot of these separate streaming services, it will probably back to the same cost as cable packages.
Spoiler alert: it wont fail and will be bigger than any other streaming service in 4 years max.
I would tend to agree given that Disney owns so much license/content now, people won't have a choice but to sub. Netflix might go the way of BBV, how ironic.
I'm all over Disney for $7 a month. They frickin own everything. I won't miss netflix at all. The one or two decent Originals don't make up for the majority of dumb shit.
Yeah, they in for a rough ride. All that debt ain't gonna fight the mouse house.
Oh, a wonderful future where you are forced to watch variable bitrate media because disney has removed every other Avenue for their media, even physical or direct download.
Well, these alien tits aren't milking themselves, ya know.
Goddamnit, the Emperor laugh at the end sealed the deal. Sign me up for this one.
Sigh, not to be that guy, but the mary sue shit just gets worse and worse. They gave her a 1000 generation's of jedi knowledge? Wouldn't she be just about a God?
I sound like an old fucker but this stuff was better with a little mystery and more gray on what is destiny is and isnt. This new shit is like bad anime.
I hope when she jumps up and slices that nazi tie fighter in half she screams "fooooolllllsssss" like Gundham wing.
Just another by the numbers Disney movie, it will disappoint.
I just want to see lightsabers cutting bitches for 90minutes.
Rey is probably some stupid fucking clone of Luke or The Emperor.
Rise of Skywalker is probably not a person but whatever the new Jedi/Sith are called when the force is balanced or something as dumb I bet.
Oh, it's going to be the worst contrived crap
I lost all enthusiasm about Star Wars after being completely underwhelmed by The Force Awakens, so much so that I didn't even bother seeing Last Jedi. I just gave no shits. I'll probably give this one a pass as well.
Rouge One was good, however.
Mauve One was better though.
That rascally spellcheck!
Rogue One is hilariously bad. It is arguably worst than Solo which was relatively harmless and by the numbers.
I made the mistake of taking my daughter to see Last Jedi in the theaters. It will not happen again.
I will watch this movie once and then forget about it, just like every other SW movie after RotJ.
This one looks great, I want to see that TIE Fighter get bisected.
I like that the lightsaber fights are back to 'hitting each other with baseball bats' in the new series instead of the weightless flippitedydoo of the prequels.
It will, because she is a gundam.
Some say Gundams are Starwars.
I want more characters named after musicians, and the next trilogy to focus on battling each other with force ghosts.
Yes. Let jedi call Luke and other jedi ghosts to fight the ghosts of palpatine. Let them summon them from something that looks just enough not like a pokeaball to avoid lawsuit.
It lacks punch. And some of it is useless.
It's all useless.
In all my SW viewings, I never once thought "gee, I wonder how they got those plans. I hope to find out someday!"
You know what could have been a cool movie?
If they insist on having this ENORMOUS GALAXY FULL OF HUNDREDS OF SYSTEMS revolve around the machinations of a dozen people, introduce a Rosencrantz and Guildenstern type crew that plays along the fringes of major plot points.
But better yet, tell some stories that don't have shit to do with the goddamn skywalkers or jedi.
The Vader Scene though.
The whole movie needs to exist just so I can watch a magical robot just fucking destroy those rebel scum for 9 seconds.
Like, have we gotten a good special ops empire game?
That Rebublic Commando game is probably the closest we'll get.
Sneak peek at the Disney+ show The Mandalorian. And yes, that is Carl Weathers and Werner Herzog.
That looks... really great, actually.
It does!
On a basic design level, Star Wars is a bunch of Moebius looking space shit just hanging out and looking cool. If that's all this show is, I'm pretty ok with that.
Looks like Return of the Jedi.
It does, in a good way.
TBH just have Werner Herzog talk in anything and I'm there for it.
Bonus points if the Mandalorian dude never takes his helmet off, ala Judge Dredd. Probably won't happen, but I can hope.
Looks better than just about every other scifi TV show of the past 20 years.
Let's hope it has an ending and overall theme and isnt just another never ending space show.
What are you even talking about, this connects to nothing. There's very low stakes to the status quo either way with this program, it's not going to move the needle on a STAR WARS THEME PARK. The second it's off you'll never see him wear the fucking thing again seems to be how this goes.
You're just being a dumbass now. Everything disney puts out reinforces the brand which reinforces the parks.
No, no one is going to fly to orlando for this single show. But disney has very few anything that will make someone travel from 1 single viewing. It's all about the assault that is the brand.
Gotta give it up for Salacious Crumb. You gotta.
No one's ever really gone.
I clapped for Bossk!
I think the behind the scenes preview had a lot of mask-off footage.
I didn’t realize that Jabba’s rat was an animal? I thought he was sentient? Are they cooking sentient creatures?
