Pressing the home button freezes the game and the YouTube app will occasionally be a little hesitant to boot. Other than that, works perfectly.

I don't get how the same service for the home gets a jacked up price for business. A few years ago the electric company started charging us business rates for their service. We were paying around $300 a month compared to the normal $150.

They figure if you're making money they deserve a bigger cut.

It just seems like that would be an illegal practice.

Yep. The North American versions are only on disk with different packaging. Since my disk drive's broken and I have a few working tape drives, I decided to go that route when I realized all my old tapes still work (minus a Ninja Spirit I copied myself back in the day).

It's a good read. It has stories from guys like Hubbard, who's work made the SID chip infamous. The back side of the book has another 100+ pages on the Spectrum.

What kind of Disk drive failure are you experiencing? I had read failures on both of my drives and was able to remedy that by cracking them open and cleaning the heads with a Q-tip.

It powers on but just makes a continuous humming sound like it's loading before you even start it. Maybe it's the belt.
*edit - looking around the internet, it could a power supply failure. It's the 1541-II with the external pack.

Picked up a Olimar Amiibo from Target after dropping off my son at school. Grabbed one of the Mario Rubik's cubes as well, seems more entertaining than the game.

Got a 32X unit with Chaotix, Virtua Fighter, Virtua Racing, and Space Harrier for basically nothing on Craigs. No cords though so we'll see how worthwhile it ends up.

I really like Chaotix, I wish I didn't sell it.

Actually, it's the opposite. I need a actual 32x to use with my model 1, which I have no intention of ever modding. I used both my 32xs for Neptunes.

Tainting a model 1 with a 32X would be more Uranus.

I got an as-is Neo Geo memory card in, and susprisingly it came with the box, case and insert and works! The best part is that it also confirms that my MV-IC works, so I now have the absolute Cadillac of 1-slots.

There are a few good games on the 32X, but I will never forgive it for sabotaging the Saturn.

Playing it in 2015 won't hurt the Saturn. And Low, you don't want to play 32X Zaxxon. It sucks so much ass.

I picked up some complete Game Gear titles for my library. I'm most eager to play Batman Returns, since it's supposed to be far superior to the Genesis version. GP Rider is like a slimmed-down Super Hang-On.

Super Mario Maker last Friday but today I found Samurai Showdown RPG for Saturn for $10 at a local game store

I can't believe the translation of that still isn't available.

One day someone will finish one. There have been like 3 translation projects and nobody ever seems to finish.

That game made me throw my controller. Amakusa is one super cheap final boss.

You can't really base a game on an SNK fighter without that, can you?

Got a backup PS3 for use in the office since Gamestop was selling them cheap, and I had a 120 GB hard drive laying around. I don't care about any of the Infinity crap though. I don't get the hate of the super slim model, I like how tiny the thing is and the sliding door mechanism is kinda neat, although I worry that it may fail sometime in the future.

I hate it because it's obviously cheap crap. The plastic feels thin and crappy, and since most idiots are too dumb to use the button to open the top they just force it open. I've already had a couple come in that would no longer stay shut because the crappy plastic latch had been worn down.

But I got one too. Cashed in a few points to get $50 off of it. After selling the DI2.0, it cost less oop than just a new controller would cost.

My tutturu collector's edition finally arrived yesterday. Woo~

I suppose it's easier for me to accept cheap crap when it's only one bill. I may be shitting on it too if it were $250 or whatever they cost retail when they were first released.

Speaking of cheap as fuck, SSJN you mentioned sometime before about how the newer Dualshock 3's felt cheaper than the original ones that were released earlier in the system's life. Is it just me, or does the controller packed in with teh super slim feel even cheaper than that? I mean, it works fine, but it feels like a chinese clone.

At least PS4 controllers work pretty well with them now, although the feel of the analogs are off so certain games like shooters aren't great. I noticed the same thing with using PS4 controllers on the PSTV instead of Dual Shock 3's.

Guilty Gear Xrd Sign. I haven't played a GG in awhile, so this is really cool. I picked Bedman and he is so annoying, I can't tell what is going on half the time and his dialogue is bizarre. The graphics are amazing though, it is quite a sight.

Also got Alien Isolation, ready to get my ass kicked.

You picked a weird time to pick that up.The expanded version is due soon.

I am not on top of gaming news any more... Gamefly had a sale so I picked up those 2. Btw, loving Isolation's atmosphere and the graphics are pretty damn good for last gen.
