First one was a great audition for JJ to get a Star Wars movie, which shockingly worked. Second one is a giant pile of garbage and is a direct insult to fans. I'm not a uniform wearing card carrying fan but that movie burned every bridge for me.Quote:

Yeah I'm not sure what the big deal is. I guess they reinterpreted aspects of the original. But it was a new universe so why wouldn't they?

I thought Undiscovered Country was a perfectly good Khan remake.
That movie was great because Sulu had his own command.

maybe we'll get an inverse of the original trek movie pattern where 1 is fine, 2 is forgettable, 3 is fine, 4 is forgettable etc
The odd-numbered TOS movies weren't forgettable, they were quite memorably terrible. :P
