Ok, that's weird. This looks *really fun*.
The first one did a pretty great job making likeable Turtle characters, this seems to be taking that philosophy to the rest of the movie.

More like Casey Jabroni.
He's no Elias Koteas.
That trailer actually looks good. What the hell?
I hope Krang is in it.
I don't know how you're defining the first one as making the turtles "likeable". Michelangelo was cringe-worthy in any scene he was in (and that was a lot of them)
Bebop & Rocksteady's inclusion might make this. Water Tank Rocksteady looked terrific.
It doesn't really matter if you've got an argument about it, the first one surpassed whatever dire expectations I had for it.
Shredder was terrible (terrible!) in the first one, but even that seems to be getting better in the sequel.
I actually expected the first one to be slightly better, that stupid plot centering around a business making money while Shredder was Some Background Dude is really what killed it for me. This looks to be goofier all around which I can get with. Also: less of irritating Mutates Into A Giant Penis camera man.
This has a rhino driving a tank through a waterfall.
The only thing they could do to ruin this is if the scene was fake for the trailer like thing fighting tanks in the F4 trailer or give bebop and rocksteady no screen time and instead focus on a love story no one cares about.
Hopefully their desire to sell toys will win out and we will get to see lots of mutants and aliens and stuff.
One hour of Casey Jones writing love notes and poetry, 30 minutes of turtle power.
I hate Michael Bay stuff so much, but that trailer looks oddly promising. Bebop and Rocksteady look like really fun antagonists, and what I'd look for in a Turtle movie, today or as kid. Megan Fox reprises her "am woman/have body" role, that wacky scientist feels out of place, and of course, the turtles (Michaelangelo especially) look like fetal mistakes of creation, but my cynicism is tempered for now.
If you hate The Rock, you're wrong.
I haven't seen it in a while, I saw it and liked it before I even bothered to note who directed the movies I watched. The underlying premise is distractingly flawed, and the "fuck the prom queen" lines, car chases, and military fetishism seem only enjoyable if you don't view them as precursor to what else Bay would do. The Connery/Cage pairing is fantastic though, I imagine that survives repeat viewings. Ed Harris is great and utterly watchable, but noble to the point of undermining his whole motivation.
What was wrong with 'winners go home and fuck the prom queen'? That was GOLD, I tell you! Michael Biehn puts in a really solid 'whoops he's dead now' performance as well!
nope
Michael Bay isn't directing this. He didn't direct the last Turtles movie either.
However, he did direct Pain and Gain, and that ruled.

Krang looks pretty great.
Jesus Christ that looks amazing.
I saw Krang and got a little too excited. I might have to see this in theaters.
Was the first one good? I feel like these movies aren't for me, but I'd like to be wrong.
I hold the original TMNT flick in very high regard to this day.
I really enjoyed it. I though the dynamic between the turtles was better in this that just about any other movie or show, they really seemed like brothers. It's not a better movie than the original but it is a lot of fun.
Trailers for this next one look like they grabbed onto the cool stuff from the first and went nuts with it.
Yeah I thought the first was horrible but this one looks like it stopped worrying about anything except making this fun.
The story makes no sense and Shredder is completely wrong, but they got the turtles right. This looks much better.
Michelangelo felt like an annoying turd but I bet that's how adults felt about him in the originals too.
Yeah not out of character
I'm in the "the turtles themselves were pretty good but the movie was kind of a piece of shit" camp about the first.
As soon as I saw Rocksteady in a tank I knew this would be much better.
That's not movie I want her to star in.
