Honestly the nfl should implement targeting ejections like the NCAA because some of those hits tonight were horrible
When it's painfully apparent, yes. Anybody can spot a Brandon Meriweather Special.
Not the refs last night.
I agree with the author - I'm surprised he doesn't already have a few of those.
He didn't need one until he built The Star.
Can you imagine being one of the high school teams that plays their home games there?
MURICA
If you still have an active .edu email address, you have a good chance of getting 50% off of NFL Sunday Ticket's streaming service with their student discount, bringing the cost down to $100 for the season. Small price to pay for never having to see the NFC East.
Are you afraid you'll see what football looks like instead of that shit played by the teams that hand the Patriots a playoff spot every year play? If you're worried about that, just watch the Eagles.
edit: I realized that you can't watch football from the NFL, no matter who you watch anymore. I wouldn't pay $5 for this shit.
Agreed
Matt Forte looks great.
SAME OLD JETS
The Giants' $100 million upgraded defense just got pushed around by the Dallas offense.
hawks baby
Stupid Jerry World needs tinted windows.
wtf
lol cowboys
cowboys
Terrance Williams is an idiot!
I think Jerry made a deal with the devil somewhere a few years ago. They are loaded on O but they can't stay healthy or have a WR with a brain.
When you're not doing what Dez is telling you to do, you dun fucked up
Yoshi quit the NFL at the right time, I think I'd be dead by now
Lol Lions!
The Lions aren't done yet!
Dez is just as dumb as Williams. Dak got on his ass when he didn't go out of bounds while they were running a 2 minute drill a couple of weeks ago.
Now it's over.
Lions snatch it away
wtf is going on
Colts fucking stink. Why the hell is Pagano and Grigson still employed? Wasting Luck's prime should be a criminal offense.
did Collinsworth just get punched in the stomach
JIMMY G
MADMAN
go afc team
PATRIOTS.
If one of the best NFC teams can't deal with New England sans Brady and Gronk at home, then, uh, good luck this year, NFL.
This isn't a knock on Brady, but Belichick has a system in place that is much like Bill Walsh's system with the 49'ers. Matt Cassel succeeded in that system, and we've all seen how well he has done outside of that program. He drafts smart players (not necessarily the most talented) that can adapt to his program. We've seen talented players like Ocho Cinco get lost in his program, because they didn't have the smarts to learn it. Tom Landry's Flex defense was supposedly very hard to learn, but effective with smart players that weren't necessarily the most talented.
Sure, but Tom Brady is better quarterback than Jimmy Garoppolo.
Yes he is, but when you watch the Patriots' offense, you'll notice that the receivers are usually wide open. Belichick has a flexible offense that adapts to what the defense is doing and it creates holes that allows the receivers to be in a position without being covered well. Reggie Wayne quit during training camp with the Pats, because the system was too complicated for him.
They were also missing Nate Solder and Jonathan Cooper.
Exactly. AZ caught them on their worst day.
16-0 incoming.
Fly, Eagles Fly!
On the road to victory!
Fly, Eagles Fly!
Score a touchdown
1, 2, 3!
Hit 'em low,
Hit 'em high,
And watch our Eagles fly!
Fly, Eagles Fly!
On the road to victory!
E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!
I'll give the Pats a lot of credit, but Arizona kind of played like ass. I suspect Arians will go apeshit on them this week.
Conceivably the Patriots could be 4-0 with a fresh Brady coming back, why should the rest of the NFL even live?
RG3 on IR already
damn, feel bad for him, really
What's karma about it?
Confession time:
I enjoy watching Chip Kelly's offense.
big balls chip
If I was the Rams' OC, I would just punt on 1st down
Sooo... The Rams are pretty bad!
It's on RG3 to get put into a game when he is obviously injured?
I can't say much about Dak Prescott after one game. RG3's first game was legit one of the more exciting ones I have seen.
He continued to run on that leg and crawl back into the huddle in that playoff game. He could have told the team doctors that he was too injured to continue playing, but he didn't.
They gave him the spread offense he was running at Baylor, until he could learn a pro offense. The Redskins staff had to help him develop proper throwing mechanics, because he didn't have it when he was in college. His throwing mechanics were still bad, and when his passes missed players and he didn't know the routes that his players were running, he put the blame on his receivers and coaching staff. That is why he was benched and they couldn't trade him, with his contract being too much for anyone to think about trading for him.
They were already talking pretty highly of Prescott in training camp, before Romo went down. He was throwing beautiful rainbow drop passes over cornerbacks right into his receivers arms. They haven't had to change the offense for him, because he jumped in head deep and picked up a lot of it. I'm thinking that by week 4, he's going to have a much larger playbook to work from, because the guy is actually football smart.Quote:

Everyone raves about everyone in camp. Pretty sure I can dig up some quotes of Jerruh and his coaches praising Quincy Carter without too much trouble.
RG3 got a raw deal in Washington. You may as well give it up. Nothing will ever convince me otherwise. Maybe he is a total retard and everything Jay Gruden said to shit on him is true. But it doesn't change the fact they loved him until he was thrown in a game obviously hurt and got his knee shredded.
RG3 and Washington deserved each other.
Nobody was talking anything good about Quicy Carter outside of Jerry's world. The media hasn't had much good to say about their backup since Tony Romo behind Bledsoe. And when Bledsoe was throwing pick after pick, the crowd was chanting Romo's name, because he was tearing it up in the pre-season.
He hasn't learned anything from his mistakes in Washington.Quote:

Good call.
That was more exciting than the game.
Dirty ass tackle. I Marshall's season isn't over because of that fucked up shit.
Rex is such a coward. They lost last night's game because their D blows. Should have fired his brother instead of the offensive coordinator.
I don't understand how that guy keeps getting work.
Looks like Buffalo is this years sideshow. Hopefully they continue to tank and we never have to hear from the Ryans again.
It's a shame that Lovie Smith got fired by the Bucs. He finally got the team built back up, and we are now seeing it on the field. His replacement will get all of the credit for the team's turnaround, even though they were showing promise last season.
Do the Patriots have a QB controversy coming? Belichick might be looking at Jimmy G like Peter Thiel looks at a 22 year old.
He hurt his shoulder. Let's see if the Pats can win with their 3rd string QB.
What a horrible onside kick for Dallas. Let's give Washington a shorter field to work with.
Kirk Cousin stinks so bad.
Wow! The Dallas defense made a stop that could very well be the winning play of the game.
I need cassiusmarshface.gif.
SEAHAWKS KRYPTONITE
What happend to Seattle today? 3pts against the Rams??
Colts are awful.
Packers are overrated. That #1 Powerrank is a joke.
Good for Sam Bradford. He finally has a good team around him.
Let's be fair here, Wilson's been on an awful ankle since halfway through Week 1. Most QBs have worse success than him with that ailment. He probably should have rested this week and taken the L though.
I've been watching Seahawks games with Sunday Ticket. I'm having, um, less fun doing it than I imagined.
ST is a solid service though fwiw except that it makes me watch Matthew McConaughey back flop into a pool literally every commercial break, though I doubt my streaming experience deviates much from a network TV one there. The quality often dips, but that could be my ISP.
Well the first problem is you're spending time watching Seahawk's games.
Child abuser out for maybe the season
The way Bradford spanked Green Bay last weekend, it might not be such a big deal.
It's incredible that the Pats are winning this game (aren't the Texans supposed to be good this year?) but fuck this shit is unwatchable.
Osweiler is goddamn terrible.
Bennet tackled the defender with a headlock and still got the call.
Texans are poop in a butt
I didn't expect this. It is like Belichick and staff are playing chess and the other coaches are playing Chutes & Ladders.
At the risk of waxing Yoshian, I think it's more like Belichick and staff are playing Chutes & Ladders and the other teams are having the game pieces fished out of their throats by their state-appointed guardians.
