This isn't a knock on Brady, but Belichick has a system in place that is much like Bill Walsh's system with the 49'ers. Matt Cassel succeeded in that system, and we've all seen how well he has done outside of that program. He drafts smart players (not necessarily the most talented) that can adapt to his program. We've seen talented players like Ocho Cinco get lost in his program, because they didn't have the smarts to learn it. Tom Landry's Flex defense was supposedly very hard to learn, but effective with smart players that weren't necessarily the most talented.Quote:
