So what are people opinions on Romo getting the job back now? Being a better QB doesn't mean crap if you can't stay upright behind the same group of guys (durability is an attribute of greatness, right?) and you're costing the 'future of your franchise' reps.
There's not even any evidence that Romo's the better QB (PFT did a piece on this today). Romo would be the new Bledsoe if Jerruh had a clue. Which bodes well for Romo.
Nobody is really sure what Romo has in the tank OR how good Dak really is, but the latter is a lot more interesting and better for the team's long-term prospects. Dak's dual threat as a passer and runner creates a different problem for defensive coordinators, much like what Wilson can create with his mobility. Romo is an accurate long ball threat that Dak hasn't shown, and the play where Witten had to reach for a slightly off pass, would have been a pass that hits him between the numbers, were it Romo throwing that pass.
Romo should be fine, if he would just throw it away when a play gets blown up. There will be less pass blitzes with the threat of Elliot taking it to the house. The running games is a QB's best friend, and it worked fine for Romo in 2014.
