The VR thread

The E3 highlight reel and those tables don't jive. It made me excited enough to hunt down a PSVR preorder. If nothing else, it'll be good enough for testing the waters for a couple years, then I'll see what HTC has to offer at that point.

Unless, of course, this is like 3D gaming in that we're not even talking about it in a couple years. And if that's the case, I paid a cheaper entry fee anyways so fuck it.

You're going to want a Neo to get the most out of PSVR.

PSVR is still good on the regular ol' PS4.

How so? That highlight reel showed about a dozen games. There are 492 entries on Steam that are Vive compatible and 214 Rift compatible.

I still think people should jump on PSVR if that's what their budget allows though. It's too good an experience to miss.

A lot of VR stuff is some dumb shit. Like throw garbage into a can. Tech demos. Or patches on existing games that wasn't designed for it.

Sony is pushing real games. That's why someone who likes games is excited about it.

I don't blame you, but it's a $40 launch title.

I'm sure there will be some stupid shit but it helps to have a platform holder push it. DriveClub VR, Battlezone, Rez, etc.

It'll all come around eventually but right now I can see why someone would be more into PSVR. The only cool novel PC VR game I've seen is that Insomniac one.

Edit: and Eve Valkyrie maybe.
