I've been getting some of the easy to find games together, setting up emulators for the early computer stuff, and subscribed to Adobe Suite to do it legit with the latest software.
I have some footage of the 1986 game, but I'm still unsure of how I want to present it. He moves too slow for real-time examples of the game design and how mean it is, so it may take a lot of quick cuts instead. I've been drawing a map by hand, and I think I can beat the game in one continue at this point without save states. Actually being good at the games before showing them is important to me.
I have a lot less free time than I did before and I'm still using my free time for actually fun things instead of this, but it's chugging along.
I did try Batman Forever on the Genesis/SNES, and good lord. I can't believe they released garbage like that.
In one of my old British videogame mags I'm sure there is a write up on Batman/Head-over-Heals/Monster Max; do you want me to look for it next time I'm at my parents. Or you're not going into history stuff?
That could be interesting. I was going to mention the Knight Lore influence and how they went on to do Head Over Heels, but probably not much more history than that.
