I stuck to the main Forza series, and never committed to jumping in with the first Forza Horizon game. I think I was PS4 only when FH2 came out, but I did take advantage of collecting the FH2:F&F to my Live account when they had that for free, so I was able to download that once I got my Xbone. FH2 is only $25 right now with Deals With Gold, but I have plenty on my gaming plate right now, and will probably just wait for FH3.Quote:

Joust, what version of this are you getting? Regular, Deluxe, or Ultimate? Basically, they incrementally look like this:
Regular ($60)

Deluxe ($20)

- All-Stars Cars
Ultimate ($20)
- Car Pass
Well duh I bought the Ultimate. But really, for most people, the normal is fine because there are more cars than you'll play with anyway. It's fine for me too but whatever. Also I get to play an extra weekend since it's available 4 days earlier. And I forget which tier, but you unlock cars faster.
And yes, the DLC for 2 is awesome.

Played this at Microsofts prepax event tonight. It's pretty awesome. Seemed like the game goes a lot more vertical. I told the developer it looked like crap and they should work on it before release.

I'll be playing the game at 2160p. Maybe, I like 1440p too.
I'm pretty sure it was the same as 2 with 108op and a solid 30fps. Better lighting and it has lots of water to splash through.
Forza's hydroplaning is awesome and underrated (if we're talking about the puddles, I know there are other water areas in FH3).

I spent some time playing FH1 today to maybe get stoked about FH3. Some thoughts:
1. BC is really cool on XO, but this game's servers weren't up and there are some framerate problems.
2. Game still looks pretty great... I read that they used 4xMSAA so it holds up nicely.
3. The fact that they claim this is Colorado still kind of annoys me.
FH has the bet image quality on consoles IMO, or close to it.

Played a bit of FH yesterday, and I just can't really get into it like I could FM6. The first game looks and runs great, but just not for me. Loved FH2: F&F edition and FH3 looks incredible though!
Horizon is the fucking jam. Motorsport puts me to sleep.
Both good games. It's amazing how they can crank these out though.
Especially considering Sony can't get one Gran Turismo game out three years into this gen.
Y'all probably know this but if you want some easy cheevos get the Fast & Furious game. I played for like an hour and have over 600. Should get it wrapped up in another.
Double dip it and get 2000. The 360 version is worse though. More unbreakable barricades.

The environments in this game are so rad.
I just played the demo of this. I thought it was going to be really difficult for them to top Forza Horizon 2, but if this demo is any indication, they've clearly raised the bar yet again. The environments are stunning, and they seem a bit more varied than FH2's environments.
I also like how Epitaph and Vagrant records have radio stations in this game. It's pretty fucking rad to be racing to songs from the new Descendents album!
The PC version of this is going to look out of sight.
Hell of a demo. Looks like the king of racing games is going to stay on top.

The Kudos system in Forza (or whatever you want to call it) is almost useless to the point that it shouldn't be in the game. It's very much a part of what makes PGR great. There is pure racing in PGR (and Kudos in those events are an afterthought), but there are other events that are made much more interesting by the introduction of a scoring system (cone challenges).
The kudos in Forza are probably the way they would have been in PGR if the series continued. Every game cared about them less than the time before.
I wish MS went nuts with the bucket list and added a bunch of PGR shit. They're soooo close.

Maybe it's a setting somewhere in Win10. On a positive note, the game recognized my DS4 without issue, though it of course shows the Xbox button names. Games like Rocket League and Hitman show the PS buttons, but I wouldn't either if I were MSFT.

If the Xbox app doesn't launch with the game, then that's probably it. I don't think I've ever opened it.

I had this same issue with Killer Instinct the first month or so I had it. After a couple of updates, they started popping just like they do on the One. No idea what actually enabled them, if anything.Quote:
