Went to TRU and got the last Intellivision Flashback they had for $10 on clearance!
Bought a used PSP and Vita (OLED) for cheap, and picked up Persona 2, TxK, EDF2, and Persona 4 Golden. I didn't like TxK at all, which was kinda disappointing, but hooked on EDF2 and put in over 10 hours already.
TxK is about the only reason to own a Vita, lol.
Something is off with TxK, I can't pinpoint exactly what.

Nabbed Star Fox Zero + Guard on Amazon for $25 a few days ago. It's not nearly as bad as people say it is, but I would have felt like a sucker buying it at full price. Guard is really fun, too!
I also just pre-ordered The Silver Case at Limited Run Games. Seeing that pop up on my feed was a nice surprise.
Dragon Quest VII 3DS and the Hudson Joycard for FC arrived today. I tried out the Joycard and it is awesome. Buttons have a nice feel to them and it works for 3 player games like Moero Twinbee.
I picked up a 8bitdo bluetooth SNES clone controller and a wireless receiver for both the NES and SNES, hoping it would all work together to work as a wireless controller for the NES and the SNES. Not only is the controller much better than I would hope from a third party, but it does work perfectly with both systems. Yay!
I have the super famicom version of that controller and it does indeed work awesomely.
I just love that I can use it on NES and SNES now.

I liked the demo for Dragon Quest Builders, except for the feeling of having my hand held way too much to really enjoy playing the game and trying to experience an adventure in that world. I don't know if that's because of the demo itself or the game proper, so I'm waiting to read firsthand impressions upon the game's release.
Also, the box art is great except for the tacky Day One Edition banner, when they already have the two typefaces in the title itself, and the Day One DLC picture in the lower-right corner that also detracts and wastes space. Ugly, stupid decisions, which is not surprising from Square Enix.
From what I've read you get your hand held a lot in the first town but not so much for the next 3.

It's price that I think is hurting them, but not in the way you mean. I think they could have charged an extra $100 if it meant increasing the resolution.

Why is Oasis so much more expensive than the other Kindles or other ereaders? Just lighter?
I'm not going to justify the price, but it has a better backlight, form factor, and includes a cover that doubles as a second battery.
I don't mind paying for quality, but it is weird I don't see any real advantage from Amazon's own comparison chart. I am always on the lookout for a better ereader, so I am curious to see how this stacks up against my Aura H2O.

Yeah, Game Gear is like that as well. Shinobi II is like, $10 cart-only, but it spikes to over $50 if it has the box. I've seen complete copies go for as high as $180.

Thinking back on it when I was a kid I took care of what I owned even if it was cardboard. I liked some the boxes for their art so I wanted to keep them in good shape.
My reasoning is based on how gaming was as a kid. I never had any new nes games. I don't have a point of reference for opening a brand new nes game. I don't need that experience. I had new gameboy and game gear games. The boxes eventually got destroyed from being a little kid and looking at them too much and my parents eventually put them in the trash. Sega games however came in plastic cases and were kept along with tapes, laserdisks and records on a shelf. I can't fathom why anyone would do anything else. Throwing away a gen case seems like madness. Sega has provided you a nice case for your game. Why are you putting it in the garbage?

Price hikes is one reason I like Everdrives, though I still plan to get some real carts.
AES arrived and I also got Everdrive GB and a new TG-16 controller and ordered Turbo Everdrive and a Turbo Tap. Silly how that system needs a multi-tap for two player games. I still plan to get a Duo eventually, as well, though JP prices are starting to catch up to the us ones for some games.
After saying no for awhile, I ordered an Xbox One S and bought the digital version of Raiden V to install on it once it arrives. Then there's a Hori RAP V Kai stick on the way as well. Not just for Xbox One & PC, but it's also backward compatible with the 360.

I decided against it. I strongly dislike LRG's entire business model. They take shitty games nobody cares about and make them "rare" to sell them. And it works. The GAF thread is full of the most disgusting collectards.
Since there aren't any set rules to the hobby outside of personal mental ones, I've decided to categorize these under bootlegs and give them a pass.
They already sold out. These people are giving themselves reach arounds on their pile of sealed games (with loose discs inside lolol)
It's the shitty game part that annoys me the most. If the entire community decided tomorrow that these games would never be "worth" more than they cost at release, no one would buy 90% of their releases. I can understand wanting to own a physical copy of a game you enjoy. I can't understand wanting to own an entire collection of shit games just so that (1) you can say you own them or (2) you expect to cash out big time later on.

Yeah, I agree with both of you guys about the retarded collectors. I only grab them when it's a game I like, which has been very few. And Mzo is totally right about the loose discs, I generally rip the shrinkwrap off as soon as I get them to put the discs back in the spindle. Thankfully blurays aren't prone to scratches.

Offline single player campaign that's drawing a lot of praise, no season pass, free dlc maps and modes that won't fragment the userbase, no Day One Edition trash on the box art. If they can just add offline multiplayer with bots, it will be perfect.
