Donald Trump is the getting your dick stuck in a pencil sharpener of all presidents and of all presidential candidates. If you even think he's competent you live in an entirely different reality where one guy making up shit is preferable to The Media making him look bad.
And the Breitbart Bannon guy calling the actual shots? What the fuck is this shit? If you're not a David Duke sympathizer this should look like the shadiest shit. Shit.
Another way to look at it is that Trump fails the Beer test. Bush Jr. and Obama both passed the beer test. Say what you will about them, but you probably wouldn't hate to have a drink with them.
I wouldn't want to have a beer with Trump, because he'd be insane the whole time.
Then you're an idiot who chooses to believe things that are objectively, demonstrably wrong. Hillary Clinton would have been a far better president than Donald Trump. Saying otherwise is laughably stupid, but if you still believe this to be true by now then no amount of proof will change your mind. Have fun with your false equivalency, though.
Seriously, how can you possibly believe this?
because sports
James. I think you're a cool guy, I enjoyed meeting you, and I'm sorry to hear that you believe I'm an idiot. We have different opinions, and honestly, I didn't expect anyone here to share my opinion. I figured that it would be okay to voice it just the same. I'm probably not the most politically-versed person on these forums. I'm certainly not infallible and my perspective is constantly evolving. I've dealt with enough information that I feel comfortable saying that, as far as I can tell, Hillary Clinton is not a good person and would not do a good job (to my own satisfaction) in office. I can say the same about Trump. Reasonably, I don't expect to be a fan of anyone that makes it to the position of president. Good people don't seem to make it that far.
If you're a fan of Hillary, that's cool, and I support everyone standing up for what they believe in. I do feel like there's a big element of identity at play that's influencing a lot of the general population's outlook right now, from both sides. I could be wrong, or I could be applying this to a broader group than it should be applied to. It's largely based on my personal exposure via news outlets and social media, and I don't mean to discount anyone's principles, whatsoever. At the same time, this shit feels cliquey as hell to me.
Trump just may be a boorish racist, but Hillary's a crooked harpy too.
Just my opinion.
Nothing helps me change my outlook like being attacked by a group of "friends" for having it. Remember when the left was all shocked that that Trump won and rightfully blamed themselves for the way they reacted towards and regarded people on the other side? Guess that lesson has been forgotten already.
Political threads are the worst. Some of you are acting like complete jerk offs.
It's entirely possible, from my standpoint, to look at what Trump has done and say" eh, little of that affects me directly."
It's also entirely possible, from my standpoint, to look at what Hillary has done, at the type of person she has proven herself to be, and say "eh, some of that would affect me directly."
That's when additional facts and figures could be introduced to sway my outlook.
You know, like what's supposed to happen in a discussion.
