Fucking mongowians
Wait, in addition to being a tech mogul and an award-winning cartoonist, Drew is also a slumlord?
Yes.
He also likes to higher women because he can pay them less.
How high?
as high as the wall
FREE ROGER STONE!!! A TRUE AMERICAN HERO!
Put him in the cell next to Paul Manafort so they can reminisce about their good ol' sell the country out days.
So the government is back on! For a few weeks
This is the deal that was rejected pre-shutdown. So basically the Republicans put hundreds of thousands of people through total bullshit for nothing.
Wat?
(Or is it?)
We will always have a Biff on TNL
Two things we can take away from this tweet:
- Trump doesn't understand what Climate Change is.
- "Global Waming"
http://www.the-nextlevel.com/tnl/att...1&d=1548787225
He tells it like it isn't
We're all going to die because the writers for Captain Planet used a poor word choice to describe something new.
Well, I will blame other people for being total dumbasses, personally. But it is true, it's not the perfect word choice.
Too bad no can understand “global” means a lot more than one spot.
Someone should sit Trump down and explain climate change to him.
The weather here sucks. -50 something wind chills tonight and tomorrow. Last Saturday I saw the temp gauge on my car hit -20 but there was no wind out so it didn’t feel that bad. It’s windy as shit now and we just had 11 inches of snow so it’s just amazing out.
Sudden stratospheric warming totally broke the polar vortex, so we've got this to deal with. What if global warming is happening, but actually causing cold snaps? I think Trump's got it wrong in several ways.
Australia is currently melting
I guess you guys are new to what trump is saying? Ultra rural conservatives have been saying that for ten years. Every fucking time it gets cold.
The south now has 40 degree temperature swings and people smugly cope with "that southern weather, amirite"
No, you are not right. We've never had this.
The most ironic thing is that if Christian rural whites are correct, they are not on the side they think they are on. Making idols of the us flag. Turning politics into the new religion. Ushering in the apocalypse of Revelations. What do they think will cause Revelations? Climate change sure looks like it would fit the bill. Along with peek oil.
They are not on the side of their own God. They are spiteful, hateful warmongers, destroying what their God has given them. They do not revil in the world their God has given them, but in spitefully seeing their neighbors unhappy.
Anyway, lck was much funnier about it.
And if you make the mistake of debunking, you're the asshole. My Facebook Uncle™ made one of these comments at my father's birthday party last weekend. "If there's global warming, how come it's 10 degrees outside?" When I replied, "Because it's winter? You're one year away from sixty. How did you forget about seasons?" he grumbled about me always personally attacking him.
I don't believe any of those positions come from a place of religion. They come from a place of fear and an inability to face difficult topics. More than anything, a vast majority of people simply can't be bothered to think critically, and then they get scared and latch onto whatever dumb conspiracy bullshit is pitched at them.
LOL @ Maga CK.
For the sake of argument, lets say climate change isn't real, these temperature changes are the natural order of things on this planet. Can someone explain to me why not being a piece of shit to the planet in general is a bad thing? Even if Trump and friends are right about climate change, the pollution, garbage etc that's being dumped is still nothing but bad for the planet (and us.)

the rubes are falling for movie plot points
The best explanation I can give is a parallel.
A short while ago, the ninth circuit court of appeals ruled on a case against Domino's Pizza – their website isn't ADA compliant. Let's ignore that Domino's is crap. What's important is that if someone decides they want to order crap pizza from the Domino's website and they use a screenreader (or, perhaps, they are colorblind or something else) they are shit out of luck.
Someone sued Domino's and the court said they have to make their site compliant.
Domino's main pushback was that they aren't an essential place. They sell shitty pizza. They aren't a town hall or something. Why should they be forced to make the site compliant?
Which is an understandable argument from a shitty capitalist company POV – making your website ADA compliant (especially to level 2, which is kind of the baseline) isn't "easy" or "cheap."
Why be nice and make your stuff accessible to people when it takes more effort and money? In the case of environmental stuff, it's just easier to keep doing what we've been doing rather than alter our habits.
Yeah, the FB Uncle brought up the prayer rugs at the border and I told him to rent the movie. The Fox "News" "evidence" is some person who won't identify themselves saying they heard from someone else that they're finding prayer rugs everywhere, too.
*Gob voice:* Come on!
Climate change ain’t real guys!! Windchill is -55 now but on sat or Sunday it’s suppose to be 45 degrees and no wind. . So within a few days we will have an almost 100 degree swing. What the fuck.
Why didn't the blind dude just order by phone?
It’s because of this @&$?! pizza that the planet is dyin’!
y’all
got dam, all I want to do is curl up and wam my feet by the olé fire pit.
Set down and has a nice cheeseburger.
Well yeah, it's obviously wrong when you're not the one typing it.
Ahm fixin to git me a lone. Buy a bigger pit!
It's cute you think that's what they buy with loans.
Because that’s the point I was making.
Bless y’all yankee hearts.
It’s jus me and mah buddy donal duck.

Why is the UNITED STATES Treasury Dept fighting to keep Trump's tax returns a secret?
Besides, I thought the only reason Trump did not release them was because he has a bigly audit and that's what happens when you own a lot of stuff
Bloomberg thinks he will not be declaring a state of emergency this evening. I'll believe it when I see it. Are his Russian handlers just straight up trying to ruin him now?
So this so called emergency which Trump admitted is not an emergency was called, and it calls for land to be seized.
That sounds very un-conservative no? What happened to small government that these toothless fucktards rally for?
They only want small government when it comes to helping minorities and the weak.
Their champion has already done everything they hate. All that is left is for him to protect abortion in some shitty way no one likes.
I have no idea what that is.
I'll vote for him this time, fuck it. Sure Let's Try It 2020.
still not a fan. I don't think he'll make it to the presidential nominee spot, but if he did, I'd probably opt out of this one idk.
David Lynch.
I’d vote for him.
I still haven't seen all of Lynch. MD?
Yar
I've seen the Cowboy and the Frenchman, but somehow not that yet.
The moral of the story was more "Being dismissive and antagonistic towards people that don't just shut up and bow to the party's chosen one probably repels them more than it attracts," not so much "Y'all should have voted for this guy in particular."
Declaring your vote well before any of the candidates have really taken a stage together doesn't indicate the lesson was learned. You've just traded one chosen one for another.
Let a few debates roll by and see how well the candidates land their hits and where public sentiment pole positions are shaking out, then decide. Let's have a little actual competition this go-round; Get far away from that "it's [his] turn" crap where the winner's decided up-front and it's made plain that everyone else is just intended to play a prop to them.
It's still early, we must have hope.
He can always change his mind.
I would prefer David Lynch.
Yeah I’d definitely vote for David Lynch.
I want Jussie Smollett to run.
Neither the hero we need nor the hero we deserve, he's the hero we have.
I want Martha Stewart to run, just to see how Trump would react to it. :sneak:
not sure how i feel about any of the democratic candidates yet, though i'll ultimately be voting for one of them. As far as my primary vote? I guess I'll watch the debates and see how things progress. Shit load of people up there...
Now we need a famous Real Piece of Shit to run and take the crown from all of these boring candidates. Alec Baldwin probably.
Speaking of famous piece of shits has Howard Schultz actually announced or nah?
I think we're barreling towards it! He just needs to do a few lines of Starbucks VIA French Roast and he'll be stoked enough to announce.
Trump tweeted that senate democrats are now in favor of executing babies after they've been born. I'm tellin' ya, those crazy dems gotta be stopped!
He tells it like it is!
Isn't that what the death penalty is?
Honestly I'm fine if Schultz runs as an independent. There still seems to be the lingering sentiment that 3rd party candidates hurt Dem votes, but Libertarians and Republicans have drifted together the past few decades, and are separated by a hair at this point. Running Trump against an actual successful businessman would almost certainly sway a lot more votes away from a party that wants to be ruled by the rich than it would from the party that's growing restless with capitalism and moneyed politics.
If they wanted to have a rich man in charge, they wouldn't hate George Soros so much. They just wanted a monkey driving the bus.
Well, rich man obviously isn't the only qualifier, they've got to stoke the right "conservative values" fires, talk up conspiracy theories, and vilify libs.
A CEO of a company more successful than anything Trump's done, who aligns with their values and can tear down Trump's "self-made man" myth from a place of experience, could inspire a lot of defectors among the invisible hand fanboys.
I've been listening to the Cohen testimony streaming in the background while working this morning. His opening statement was pretty strong but the actual questioning by Congress is all over the place and ultimately, Cohen isn't a very credible witness.
I did get a laugh when Cohen noted that, despite Trump constantly claiming to be a genius, he directed Cohen on multiple occasions to threaten his schools with legal action if they ever released his grades or SAT scores to the public.
He's much more credible than the GOP asking him questions right now.
I have no idea how a sane person can listen to this and then decide "Yep the GOP is the party of law and order" or even simply "they are intelligent".
Yeah. The dems are softballing him, which is *eyeroll* but holy shit the repubs are second graders with transparent, leading, asinine questions. Cohen's def trying to score "mic drops" and points versus yes/no/straightforward answers but even though he isn't the best authority, the republicans are less credible.
EDIT: Def want to get clarification/know the answer to that question about the discrepancy between the foreign interest form and testimony.
EDIT EDIT: AH, they purposely crafted the phrasing of the question funky for the explicit purpose of Mr. Meadows being all "ooh you're lying!"
Wow, and another congresswoman just specifically pointed out that the document Meadows was using does specifically say foreign government as Cohen said, what a piece of fucking shit.
I thought it was hilarious when the one old lady asked Cohen to swear under oath that he will never pursue any book or movie deals, and when Cohen rightfully said "fuck that," she then asked him to swear not to go on news programs to provide commentary or run for public office in New York.
That was amazing as well, like what sane person, let alone a lawyer, would ever swear under oath that they will never in the future do something?
Has the government always been ran by ass clowns? Or was the generations before strengthened by education being a sign of wealth or participated in ww2, a war that pulled everyone in the us with a set of balls up to a basic education level?
Because I feel like this is as dumb as the people doing these specific jobs have ever been.
It has been clear that one group of people has had no interest in governing for quite some time.
I wouldn't pay these fucks to take out the garbage, they'd spend all their time talking about Hillary's emails.
I wonder if movies 100 years ago will clean them up and make them look respectful the same way we make every biopic of Washington and Abe.
Like, we even make Confederate leaders look smarter than than these fucks when we make a movie.
Holy shit, the republicans are seriously having real time tweets entered into the record. This shit is ridiculous.
OMFG Mark Meadows just played the "I know black people and have relatives that are married to black people so you saying I did something racist is racist against me card"
Reminder that Jim Jordan, one of the two biggest crying bitches of the day, ignored sexual assault while working at Ohio State.
The best part is, Tlaib quickly pulled the, "I said SOMEONE," and everyone forgot the part about "in this chamber" so she did call Meadows out for his dumb stunt. Her face when she knew she'd gotten away with it was great. More than makes up for the smartassed wink/grin he gave after trying to trap Cohen in that vague language thing. And you know, as soon as Meadows was in his safe space he yelled, "Who does that Muslim cunt sand n****r think she is, calling me racist?!?"
Brilliant. Responding to accusations that you're using black people as props to prove a white guy isn't racist by...using black people as props to show how you, a white guy, aren't racist.
Theoretically, how does an old white guy prove he isn't racist?
If you're old and white, you are racist.
Why isn't admitting that you may have certain biases thanks to cultural background and having a record of working against said biases enough? Like, when I get mad at someone cutting me off and a slur escapes my lips, yet I donate to the NCAAP and volunteer at various outreach programs- how am I still considered a horrible person?
I really hate how much weight is given to speech vs actions.
It's almost like alcoholism. You never really get away from it, but every day you try to fight it and deny it.
If you are not like me, then I automatically have a thing against you. I don't want to, I try not to, but it's there. It's biological.
