First trailer's up.
That's a lot better looking than the poster they put out.
For a world-consuming media conglomerate with more money than god, Disney employs some super-shitty photoshop guys to do their posters, yes. This is well documented.
Why does that garbage exist when Drew Struzan is still alive?
Kinda looks like Marvel Batman.
Struzan retired from doing movie posters, unfortunately.
But yeah, these are comic book movies, by the very virtue of the medium you got tons of great artists that could take a stab at posters. On any given month Marvel is publishing at least a small handful of great, memorable covers featuring their characters; But for movie posters, a vehicle in which some well-done, iconic art could reach millions and sit in the pop culture consciousness for decades? "Nope, bland photoshop collabs all day everyday."
Cut folks like Alex Ross, Tim Bradstreet, Alex Maleev, Phil Noto, and Sachin Teng some damn checks for this stuff.
RDJ will be in this movie for the movie trailer shots plus five seconds.
Edit: with the shitty poster talk, I thought this was the Spider Man Homecoming thread, oops.
At last, we know the secret identity of the Masked Wikier, who springs from the darkness to copy and paste easily attainable information.
Does anyone seriously care about these comic book movies anymore?
better than the reboots and other garbage at the movies
better in what way?
I feel somehow obligated to watch them after a childhood of really poor comic movies, but I like ignoring that obligation.
Yeah, great question! Especially since none of them are moneymakers and all flop so horribly.
That said, so...Black Panther rules a country that pretends to be a third-world shithole via giant holograms but really looks like a highly-advanced alien planet or some shit? Huh?
That's how they protected themselves from whitey's exploitation.
Still haven’t seen the new Spidey or Thor. I might just wait until this hits Netflix.
I've never bothered to see any of them in the theater. Every time I see a trailer for a Marvel movie, it just reminds me to watch whichever one is coming out on streaming/home video that week.
MoviePass. I see everything in the theater
Thor’s actually not out yet. I might still see it. I like Marvel and their space themed movies particularly.
Mirror Match: The Movie
I wonder if/hope this will be hilariously out of touch like the defenders and have rap music playing at the drop of a hat, because black people
THE REVOLUTION WILL NOT BE TELEVISED!!
The revolution will be licensed to a fuckin' Disney movie OST, apparently.
Run the Jewels is the acceptable protest-y music of 2017, ala RATM in the 90s.
