yeah but also Eli isn't that good
But he is way better than Geno or the 3rd string.
Giants fans on SB Nation think they’re gonna get a first round pick for Eli. LOL.
Giants isn't getting anything, Eli can veto any trade and force them to cut him.
Maybe he can force a trade to the Chargers
Oh
Chargers are no longer in San Diego, LA might not be that unattractive. Of course Spanos might not like the idea.
Why would he? He already has a superior QB
Right now he does. But don't underestimate the stupidity of Spanos. Manning has 2 rings. Besides maybe Rivers retires at the end of the year. Last I heard the city had not taken to the Chargers and it was playing on basic cable or some shit, so maybe Rivers just says fuck it and walks away. I don't expect it but who knows?
Having 2 teams in LA is just plain stupid. The Raiders could never fill the LA Coliseum, even after they'd won the Super Bowl; That's why they moved their ass back to Oakland. The Rams had history with LA, yet they were forced to move to Anaheim, because of the lack of support from LA.
Doesn't every owner gets a big fat check whenever a team moves? Who would vote no?
Probably, but I don't see Las Vegas as an ideal spot for any NFL team.
The design of the stadium is a huge mistake. They plan on putting a glass ceiling on a stadium in the desert. It's going to be like sitting under a magnifying glass. Let's burn people instead of ants.
The media here is treating Ben McAdoo like Pontius Pilate. It's bizarre. At one point I would have said, well Eli has two Super Bowl MVPs so I get it, but then again I am pretty sure Ravens fans would be doing backflips if Joe Flacco was benched.
Eli is terrible, but so is the Giants OL and he could work on a few teams. I think deep down he's happy he can keep whatever little he has in the tank for next year on some other team rather than getting continuously pounded into the dirt for the Giants.
McAdoo is an idiot. Bench Eli to start Webb makes sense, but Geno Smith? We know what we have in Geno, he might be able to tuck and run a few yards but if people think Eli is an INT machine...
So Washington's players have taken a stand and decided they aren't going to wear their shitty 3rd uniform. As a result the team might get fined. lol.
They need to get rid of those fruity uniforms. They look like pajamas.
Anyone else think that Dungy looks like a black Soda Popinski?
I don't like that move from safety to corner for Scandrick. He got lost in coverage twice resulting in the big gain pass and the touchdown right before the half.
Can we have Rodgers back now? Packers D has been on the field all damn day.
No touchdowns today but I was able to watch most of the game and was very happy with the way Jimmy G was playing. He was making quick decisions, throwing the ball hard, amazingly the receivers were catching it. I know it was the Bears, but I am still pleased that they were able to play so well against them. I know theres a good chance that it's just because it was the Bears but I like where they are headed.
Robbie Gould? Is that guy in his 50s?
Robbie Gould is 35 years of age. Prime of his life in Kicker years.
Wow that’s it? Maybe I’m thinking of someone else.
I wonder if Denver goes after Eli in the off season.
Makes sense, but Jacksonville might be a better fit.
Maybe but I'm not seeing the need down there right now, stunningly.
They got blown out by the Dolphins with a washed up quarterback. Denver is a bonfire right now.
Giants fire both GM and Coach. Maybe they'll hire Eli.
Good!
The way they did Eli wrong and handled their drafts picks was embarrassing for the Giants and their fans.
I haven't been watching football the last few weeks and just saw the Gronkowski hit. Pretty disappointing. He watched the guy get downed but torpedoed at him anyway. Looks especially egregious from this angle:
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...a1607fc0b8.gif
Oh I thought 1 game was way too light, worst hit I ever saw
bush league
Late hits usually don't draw a suspension though, just a flag, so I think 1 game for that late hit is reasonable.
he hit him in the back of the head with his forearm though, if I saw it correctly
totally unprovoked
As a Pats fan, Gronk deserved the 1-game. He was frustrated but take out the ref, not another player laying face-down out of bounds.
Look everybody gets a little roid-rage every now and then...just look the other way, nothing to see here...
Meanwhile Vontaze Burfict got a taste of his own medicine last night.
Roger Goofdell signed his 5 year contract extension today. Ugh!
http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/2...ract-extension
Do they get a watermelon helmet at the gate?
Man Buffalo is a snow globe right now.
Send some snow this way. We didn't get any last year.
Man. A year without snow. I wonder what that feels like.
It's boring.
The Cowboys just opened up a can of whoop ass in the 4th quarter.
I'd love to have a year where I don't wake up wondering if today is the day I can't see out my window due to whiteout
I don't believe it, 9ers win again.
First winning streak for SF since 2014. Jesus.
You finally have your QB, though some could argue that they had one with Kap.
I had no problem with Kap. He was recovering from injury for much of the time after the Superbowl. He also went vegan which fucked with his body weight but whatever he wasn't the problem with that team.
Meanwhile it seems Carson Wentz just went down for the season. This is a brutal sport man. Cry Eagles Cry.
Carson could have done it a little earlier. They just won the NFC East with their win over the Rams.
Rodgers is back but the locals are fucking high if they think he should play. I want Rodgers back too but it’s pretty dumb risking him now. They have such a tiny chance to make the playoffs. Panthers, Vikings and Lions. That’s a pretty tough lineup to get wins against and still need a lot of help from other teams. Shut Rodgers down and work on getting a tougher Defense in the off season.
He doesn't need to pull a Romo. Come back too early and break his collarbone again.
So what, its his colarbone not his spine. Fuck it, come back and try to make the playoffs. If he goes out again for the same injury hes gone for the year and ready next season.
What a game in Pittsburgh!
Patriots, mthrfkr.
WTF is a catch, mthrfkr. Lol
Couldn't even spike the ball and kick a field goal. :fail:
I know the 49ers are out of it officially and such, and they've played a bunch of teams that are not quite up to par during this streak but holy shit please let the G-man be the real deal.
Glad to see Jimmy G doing well.
Seahawks knock Jerruh out of the playoffs
Good times
So I'm trying to remain calm and rational about Jimmy G. He hadn't beaten anyone I told myself. Well now I'm going to allow myself to get a bit hyped. Yes its the Jags they beat today and yes Blake Bortles reverted to Blake Bortles, but still. They are a playoff team and JG didn't look at all out of place. Hype rising.
There's a punting exhibition going on in Philly.
Yawn!
Dan Bailey has gone from automatic to maybe the worst kicker in the NFL in a couple weeks
Maybe if the Cowboys get rid of him, Seattle will pick up another kicker they screwed up and have him ruin their season
Thank god this season is over. So damn painful to watch. Congrats to all the teams that made the playoffs. NFC is interesting with all the new teams in this year. AFC is going to be Steelers and Pats again.
Just lose baby!
Cleveland will have a mountain load of picks in the draft and still find a way to botch up getting a quarterback.
Seattle gets into FG range and Blair Walsh misses the GW kick
A fitting end to the season
Glad Atlanta won because if that kick was for a playoff spot I'd have lost my mind
The Bungles are about to upset Baltimore and knock them out of playoff contention. Which would make Buffalo eligible. 😑
BILLS
They could beat Jacksonville
What an odd playoffs this is going to be.
Russell threw for or ran in every offensive TD this year except one
He ran more than 350 yards more than the leading RB
He's a top 5 offensive player this year and Wagner might have been DPOY if not for an injury in the home stretch, they were the only team to beat the Eagles in a meaningful game in the last 3 1/2 months
And they didn't even make the playoffs...because the Rams went from scoring like 14 pts a game to over 30...that's nuts
Your team had no business winning that game in Dallas. Wilson threw for a total of 93 yards, and the only reason they were in that game was because of Dez fumbling inside of Seattle's 20 and later tipping a pass for an interception.
That being said, the whole Roger Goofdell drama took its toll on my Cowboys this season. What should have been another run at the playoffs, became a season filled with BS outside of the locker room and losing Zeke for 6 games.
Watching the NE/Steelers game again, Pittsburgh fans should be more pissed about the dropped interception on NE's last drive, or Tomlin deciding not to kick a FG with 9 seconds on the clock. That's what cost the Steelers the game. Something about the Pats makes teams stupid on the goal line, lol.
Rome is burning in New England. General Belechick is not putting up with Kraft's shit.
http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/page...power-struggle
Horeshit. ESPN trots out some dumbass story like this at the start of every post season, and Wickersham is always the one yelling loudest. I think Belichick ran over his puppy or something. That article has been picked apart already for its bullshit. BRADY'S MAD BECAUSE HE WASN'T NAMED PATRIOT OF THE WEEK! There is no "Patriot of the Week."
More like WickerSHAM.
They have no backup for Brady, Brady's personal trainer has been ousted from the facilities, and now the offensive and defensive coordinators are interviewing for the head coaching job at New York. Something ain't right in New England
I mean....if coordinators DIDN'T interview for HC jobs I'd be stunned. The Pats are a premiere team in the league and some fools still think the OC and DC have something to do with it. So of course THEY are going to try and score a HC job.
It is a hit piece on Brady. Most of the known "rifts" were covered during the season, the author basically rehashed a bunch of stuff with some conjectures and presented as facts.
ESPN already tried to bury Brady with BS reporting on Deflategate, this is them trying again.
I wasn't necessarily using that article as the sole example. A lot of this stuff has been coming up about the team over the past month by various radio sports talk shows in my area. The trainer thing has been a hot topic for several weeks now, and it does seem quite odd that Belechick would all of the sudden want nothing to do with a guy that had all of the privileges of the other trainers for a long time. Especially considering that he's keeping his stud quarterback in peak physical condition.
Belichick may very well take the vacant HC job in New York and take his staff with him. He did get coaching job kickstarted there, under Parcells.

I am not sure Belichick (or any sane person) really believe that Guerrero is keeping Brady playing the way he is. Guerrero/Brady are selling pseudo-science diet lifestyle as facts. It is most likely placebo effect, which is an actual scientific phenomenon.
I have noticed that athletes have been able to have more success in later years (see tennis) now than ever before. I chart that up to advance in medicine in general and athletes taking better care of themselves early on and throughout their careers.
It appears that he has Brady convinced that it is working. Why did it take so long for Belichick to finally throw that clown out of the buillding?
I have heard that basically many (20+) players are listening to this hack over Patriots' own training staff. I don't blame Belichick. GTFO with this quack.
I am glad it works for Brady, but he is trying to brand this shit and sell it to any sucker. Concussion water? LOL.
Also, let's not forget that this quack has been banned by FTC for claiming to be a doctor.
Mariota is a stud
Chefs cooking up a long offseason
I am amazed the Chiefs choked that away. But I'm also not shocked at all.
Sorry!
that's ok, there are no rams fans
It’s a shame Atlanta won. They are about as exciting as white bread toast.
Just realized the Vikings could possibly have homefield all the way through the Super Bowl. Gross. Has that ever happened? What the fuck happend to our resident Vikes fan anyways?
That’s been a story ever since it turned out they could score points
It’s never happened
I swear I’m watching two Brett Hundley offenses going at it.
As soon as Bortles started to run, the Jags were the superior team
lol the bills
That was maybe the worst playoff game ever.
The Saints lookin good. I’d be good with them winning it all.
Saints trying to blow it.
Nope. Just wanted to fuck with the Panthers a bit. Glad Cams season ended with a huge sack.
Gruden coaching again has diaster written all over it. I hope I am wrong though.
I hope you're right.
