Though I already posted a link to the new unfinished TNL, I decided that I should have posted a poll since it'll be eaiser for me to tally up how well you guys like the design. The link is in my sig.

Be kind, please rew.. uh, post links in the body of the message. Some people don't have signatures enabled (like myself).

The Next Level v. 4.beta
Looks too cramped.
*realizes he has provided absolutely no input on the matter before*
Damn, where have I been?
I voted for the last option, even though I definitely do not stink like fish. I prefer the original. Those buttons are tiny.
I hate to be an armchair webmaster, as I have no talent, but I chose the final option there.
I like the brighter colors, but the design IS too cramped. The "interface" is small and plain, the buttons... ditto. The overall design doesn't seem cohesive enough. I could go on, but that's as much criticism as I'm inclined to dish in one post.
I like the top tab buttons alot. The banner thing is pretty nice too. Those links though are too small.
I would need to see what a sample news post on the site would look like before making a judgement.
Alright thanks for the input guys, I'll work on getting the interface menu larger. I guess it's just me that likes all the tiny font. As for it being to cramped, is it the overall design that seems cramped or just the menu? As for the tabs on the top, I've heard both sides of approval and disapproval. I'm just waiting for more input. I hope I get more before I start working on it again tonight.
Agreed.Quote:

Here's my two cents...
Logo: This has been our trademark for years and it's actually important to develop something that is identical to the original template, lest we immediately make the TNL brand unrecognizable to those that have come to know us over the course of time. The current version is too plain and lacks and distinguishable dynamics.
Navigation: In line with the current opinions, not only is the design too cramp. It's also - plain. I understand one of the objectives is to create a fast-loading design, but this is definitely too cramped. If text will be used for the navigation, then at the very least, it should have a greater area of spacing in between each section. Though, I would try to remain consistent and provide buttons just as you've developed for the top core sections i.e. Multimedia, Gamestore.
Content: Hard to totally visualize the entire manner the front page will look like w/o this there. Hope to see the other pieces of the puzzle just to get a better idea what potential this design could offer.
Color: See above replies. ;)
Nick: "That's what you get for missing staff meetings, Doctor" - Kirk, ST3: The Search for Spock :p
Maybe I did make it too cramped, but that was just to offset that everything on TNL seems too spaced out and a bit redunant. The scrolling down to get to some of the links is a bit annoying. That was just my opinion on the current design so I tried to remedy it. I might start over and just throw this one into my archives. But this one has a nice "next level-ish" feel.
