Actually, that score was with C-Gain. I say "blech" to Wild Snail because it's simply too sluggish for my tastes. I have a really hard time catching all the medals in that thing, and I simply play much better with a faster ship.

I have to find again a complete replay on mame, it is a pain to watch but gives some useful hints on how to complete it.

Been playing this game on the saturn. Any scoring difference between mame, raine, pcb, and saturn versions?

Great to get one more score. Interesting to see how you made it to st5 and umm only 2,2M? Do you know of the pink birds in the beginning of stage 2? You can almost reach 2M there already if you're lucky.
I don't know of any score differences. I think the saturn version should be a close-to-perfect port. Don't have it my self (yet) so I can't make any comparisons. I know there are different romsets (enabling/disabling level select and stuff like that) but I don't think they should affect scoring.

My new High Score:
Golden Bat 4,100,300 Stage 5
Svampii: Prior to the above high score i basically just played to stay alive and had no real concept of scoring. After watching the superplay a couple times i picked up some good scoring tips like the birds part. Still, some of those tactics on the superplay are beyond me :(
I guess my immediate goal is to clear stage 5 with +5 million.
Is their any way to practice just stage 5 or better yet, just the stage 5 boss?
