When Capcom brings out the Super SFII series, SNK really gets serious (Garou reference intended :D ) and voila... Here's King of Fighters '94. While some people may call it a SF rip, it did quite a handful of things better (what other game at the time had 3 on 3 battles?). I found it better than the SFII series.
Three years before, SNK did blow away the first Street Fighter ('87) with Fatal Fury ('91). Special moves in FF are easy to perform, unlike the ones in SF1.

Yea but right now Capcom and SF3rd Strike beat the crap out of any SNK fighter ever created, hell! beat the crap of any fighter ever created :)
