Apocalypse
and with that said...THREAD OVER
Can't think of anyone except Apocalypse; but if you want to get really into it, you could say Wolverine since they are blatantly obvious they don't like each other.
how bout the Sinister
Biiiiiiiiiird man!
Thanks for the answer, another one Who is iceman's rival?
I don't think Iceman has a direct rival, as he often is grouped together with the X-Men, whereas a character like Wolverine stands out so much.
I would be interested to find out if he has an arch-nemesis...
iceman's nemesis is. . . I actually remember him walking around being all pissy and leaving everyone for "personal business" and "something I have to do on my own" and such, but I don't remember why.

It would probably be the White Queen cause she messed up his mind. But this happened a couple years ago, and for all I know, someone's clone went back in time to change history or something.
Yeah, Iceman's was Pyro from the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. God, they sucked. Blob, Mastermind, Toad...they should just be called the Brotherhood of Retarded Powers.
Wow, you guess answered my question again, and I will keep the questions going then, Who is Human Torch's Rival?
Nemesis = Ghost ?

Hey Kaneda can we get a big fat LOCK on this thread...pointless is a complement for this pile.
Naw...it's a stupid topic, but as long as Nemesis doesn't make a separate thread for each of these "rival" questions, it's ok.
I love you guess.
Human Torch's rival is....Spiderman?
Aquaman :DQuote:

Paste Pot Pete or the Thing. :) (Raise your hands if you know who Paste Pot Pete is, and what his current alias is).
Well... classically if you're talking about the original Human Torch(not the one that is in the Fantastic Four{I guess there are two of them in the marval universe) then his rival is the Sub-Mariner.
Lets see, who is Dr.Doom's Rival? I say it's Mr. Fantastic, but I'm no sure.
The Human Torch's rival seems to vary between Spider-Man and the Thing. But its not really rivalry, more of a love/hate thing.
Dr. Doom's arch rival is indeed Mr. Fantastic. He blames him for ruining his face, when in actually he did it to himself.
Who is the Punishers rival?
Now thats a good one. Hold on let me check.
The Russian I think.
Paste Pot Pete became the Trapster or something like that, right? I say the Human Torch's rival is the Thing, they're both competing for the affection of the Invisible Woman.
I'd say the Human Torch's rival is Super Skrull. But, outside of Reed, I'd assign the entire Fantastic Four that rival.
Here\'re some easy ones:
Name the rival
Dare Devil
Bishop
Juggernaut
Mr. Sinister
Cyclops
Havoc
Daredevil- Bullseye or the Kingpin
Bishop-Trevor Fitzroy
Juggernaut-Charles Xavier
Mr. Sinister-Cyclops
Cyclops-hm. I honestly don't believe he really has one, so I'll say wolverine.
Havoc-Cyclops
And Paste Pot Pete is indeed the Trapster. I tried replying to this thread yesterday but no matter how long I waited, my post wouldn't go through.
Go, Lordmrw! Nice. Cyclops' never had a recurring rival outside of Mr. Sinister, so I'd say it's him. If anyone else has a differing opinion, let's hear it.
How about these:
Doctor Strange (be careful...he's got three)
Lady Deathstrike
Fin Fan Foom
The Mandarin
S.H.I.E.L.D.
Captain America
Baron Zemo
Age of Apocolypse Beast
Doctor Strange-I was never a Dr. Strange fan. Off the top of my head, I'll say Dormammu, Dr. Doom(little known fact: he's the second most powerful sorceror after Dr. Strange), and Mordo
Lady Deathstrike-Wolverine
Fin Fang Foom-Iron Man or It the Living Colossus
The mandarin-Iron Man
S.H.I.E.L.D-HYDRA or A.I.M
Captain America-Red Skull
Baron Zemo-Captain America
Age of Apocalypse-Been a while, might be the Sugar Man
You're good, dude!
Oh! Dr. Steven Strange's rivals are: Mephisto, Black Heart (Mephisto's son), and Nightmare.
Got any for me? And why limit it to Marvel? Let's get some DC going on too. :D
I'll have to disagree with you, Captain V. I'd say Dormammu and Mordo are Doc Strange's biggest rivals, followed by Dr. Doom, Nightmare, Vampires (they're still pissed at him for that whole "Montesti Formula" thing), and Clea when she's having her period. :)
Here's some more:
Cyber
Half-Life
Vanisher
Ronan The Accuser
Justin Hammer
Hela
Thanos
I only got one of them: Thanos = Adam Warlock.
DareDevil-Kingpin
Captain America-Red Skull
Lady deathStrike-Wolverine
Havoc-Cyclops
Juggernaut-Professor X or the Blob
Dr. Strange-Mordo
Thanos-Galactus or perhaps Onslaught
Since, one of you suggested that we explore DC,
Try this:
Batman
Superman
Green Lanturn
Robin
Nightwing
Hawkman
The Atom
Aquaman
Cyber's rival is Wolverine. I miss Cyber...
Cyber-WolverineQuote:

Half-Life-
Vanisher-Angel (or Archangel, whatever you want to call him)
Ronan the Accuser- Either the Silver Surfer or Captain Marvel
Justin Hammer-Tony Stark
Hela-Thor
Thanos-Adam Warlock
Hmm, I\'m not that much of a DC buff:Quote:

Superman

Robin
Nightwing
Hawkman
The Atom
Aquaman
Batman-Joker
Superman-Lex Luthor
Green Lantern-if you\'re talking about Hal Jordan, then Sinestro. If you mean Kyle Rayner, maybe Parallax or that new guy with the yellow ring.
Robin-I don\'t know
Nightwing-Blockbuster
Hawkman-Fucking Hawkman? Who cares?
The Atom-I don\'t know
Aquaman-Ocean Master or Black Manta
How about
Ghost Rider
Hulk
Deadpool
Cpt. Marvel
Flash
Plastic Man
Hulk's rival is Abomination
Ghost Rider-Christ, maybe Blackout or BlackheartQuote:

Deadpool-T-Ray? I never bothered with deadpool much.
Cpt. Marvel-Thanos
Flash-the whole Rogues Gallery. I don't think there's any one villain he fights over and over.
Plastic Man-who cares?
By Cpt Marvel, I meant Shazam.
Well...if it's the Kingdom Come timeline you're talking about, then Shazam's rival is Superman.
Who is Unbreakabl's Arch Nemesis??
Q from the Big Black Guy,
JBNagis
Samuel L. Jackson, BITCH! :D
Deadpool's rival is Kane (from Weapon X) or possibly Cable.
I'd say the Hulk's biggest rival was Banner. Or maybe the Hulk is Banner's rival and you can give Hulk the Leader. I'm probably analyzing this too much.
Going back a few days, if the Punisher has a rival, it'd be drug dealers in general. The Russian's too new to give arch-rival status.
How about:
Onslaught
X-man
Nightcrawler
Beast
Lizard
Iron Man
War Machine
Onslaught-um....EVERYONE in the Marvel Universe!!
others i really don't know.
how about.
Who is Capt. Saveahoe's arch nemesis?
Words from the Big Black Guy,
JBNagis
The Cock Blocker. He is the bane of guys planet wide. Other countries might have different names for him(or her), but they exist. Every time you're about to get some nookie, the cock blocker shows up to make sure it doesn't happen. Whether they act like they don't know what's going on, or purposely stick around, they are always a step away from getting their ass kicked. Chances are, if you don't know who the cock blocker in your group, it's YOU!Quote:

War Machine - You got me.
Hey, I have one last Marvel questions. In the X-men Cartoon series Magneto blocked cyclop's optic blast, but in X-men evolution series Magneto couldn't block cyclop's optic blast. So my question is can Magneto block Cyclop's optic blast?
List your 10 Favorite Marvel characters, these are mine:
Magneto
Wolverine
Spiderman
Venom
Carnage
Green Goblin
Onslaught
Apocalypse
Sabertooth
Nightcrawler
Top Ten?
Spiderman
Hulk
Wolverine
Nightcrawler
Reed Richards
Daredevil
Dr Doom
Juggernaut
Iron Man
Doctor Octopus
Dr. Doom
Nightcrawler
Magneto
Mistique
Husk
Chamber
Juggernaut
Mastermold
Mr. Sinister
And taking the number one spot: Apocolypse.
Captain America
Iron Man
Silver Surfer
Thor
Quasar
Thanos
Spider-Man
Magneto
Apocalypse
Incredible Hulk(the professor hulk)
Cyclop's optic blast doesn't contain metal, so I'd say no. Although he could easily do something like close his visor thing around his eyes (assuming it's made out of metal, and it sure looks like it is). Although Marvel's had Magneto pull some ridiculous crap and write it off on weird shit like "he manipulated the electromagnetic field surrounding that guy's body", so I think it would really depend on whoever was the writer and editor.Quote:

As anyone heard of a graphic novel called DK2..all i know its not Marvel but i was flipping through it and superman gets the SHIT beatin out of him by Batman,Flash,Hawkeye and a few others.
And has anyone hear of the graphic novel Forge.it looks intersting.
List from the Big Black Guy,
JBNagis
Dk2 would happen to be the Dark Knight Strikes Back, or Dark Knight Returns 2. Its obviously the sequel to the Dark Knight Returns. It is pretty much ass though.
Forge is a very interesting idea that Crossgen Comics is doing: Offering monthly trades of their books at about half the cost. They are Edge and Forge. They each contain 7 or 8 issues of at least 3 or 4 CG books, as a cheaper way to follow them.
Top Ten:
Wolverine
Magneto
Sabertooth
Venom
Ghost Rider
Green Goblin
Spiderman
Apocalypse
The Lizard
Dead-pool
If you like Batman beating the crap out of Superman in your stories (and really, who doesn't?), I suggest Dark Knight Returns (which DK2 is the sequel to) and Kingdom Come, both of which are far superior to DK2.Quote:

I love DK2. I've only heard one person say they kinda like it, and everyone else hates it.
Kingdom Come, god I wish I had brought that one with me...
You like Kingdom Come? Cool shit.
:) Yah I like comic books. I have a small outdated collection. :( no money for it anymore. My happiest b-day was when in 4th grade I got the 9 hard cover, color Elfquest books. Oh god happy days.
(Dont tell anyone though)
shhh...
Do you have Marvels? Alex Ross art, with a few major Marvel stories retold.
actually I have this odd fixation on Superman... and Batman... (oooh sexy... yah beat the boy scout you tall dark and handsome .. er) so mainly dc ... If I had more Money I would go on a comic book shopping spree (oooh that would rock) and pick up a ton of titles. Kaneda has turned me on to a ton of good comics though... (The Watchmen, The preacher, Transmetroplian)
The first novel I ever read was a graphic one. The first book... "the death and life of superman"
(I am a sad sad girl)
Shh...
Everyone with a slight interest in comics owes it to themselves to read 100 Bullets. Hands down the realest and most honest book that gets put out every month. And I also recommend Top Ten for some hilarious police hijinks.
Top Ten is great, haven't gotten to 100 Bullets yet.
Alan Moore did a great Batman comic, The Killing Joke.
100 Bullets is easily the best comic currently coming out. But if you're at all interested in it, DON'T try jumping into the monthly comic without reading the trades first. It's layered with conspiracy on top of conspiracy, and 90% of what's going on will probably go over your head if you don't read the trades.
Killing Joke is a great Joker comic, but not much of a Batman comic. Moore did that on purpose, of course. The two best Batman stories ever written are Dark Knight Returns and Batman: Year One, both written by Miller. Miller owns Batman. Except in DK2, which wasn't terrible, but wasn't very good either.
Kaneda has good taste.Quote:
