So where do you like to eat? non fast food.

Well I can tell that some of you didn't like Chilli's too much, so what are your favorite places to eat? non fast food that is?

Here are some places I frequent, some are region specific though.


Cattle Company- Great Steak, coleslaw excelent, a bit pricy though.

Famous Daves- When I'm in the mood for Ribs.

Red Lobster- my number one pick for Seafood.

Joe's Crab Shack- not as good as Red Lobster

Olive Garden- Luv those all you can eat breadsticks and salad.

Khan's BBQ- you pick the raw stuff you want then they cook it up right in front of you.

I'm a big chinese food fan, usually they have lunch specials for around $5 that are filled with good food, some of it actually healthy. My favorite Chinese restaurant is Cheng Du. They have a few restaurants in south eastern MA (Mansfield, Stoughton), so if you're in the area definatly check them out.

Burrito places are always good too, honerable mentions go to Burrito Max in Boston and Borracho Burrito out in South Bend IN. I admit to sneaking some Taco Bell when a real burrito place isn't around.

There's nothing like Bickford's at 3AM. i love pancakes!

Mo Betta Ribs! i used to live right across the street from this place in South Bend and it was always the butt of many jokes because it looks like an old auto garage. Then one night a bunch of friends and i were really drunk, and we finally picked up a tray of rib tips as a joke to bring to a party. GREAT GREAT ribs. I devoured practically the whole tray myself and i eat there all the time now.

My last roomate used to call me Jared because i went to Subway all the time.

insert name of your town here House of Pizza. The greek pizza shops that are all over the place usually make really good subs, the pizza is always greasy as hell though.

i will probaly think of more later, i can't cook so i tend to eat out a LOT.

Anyway, some of my favorite places include

PF Changs- The best Chinese food I have ever eaten.

Logan's Roadhouse- I really like their BBQ chicken breast and their Burgers. Their rolls are warm and gooey....:o

TGI Fridays- They have a good mix of everything including my personal favorite, the Bruchetta Chicken.

Chochki's- I can get a good Hamburger anywhere, but I go to Chochki's for the atmosphere and the attitude ;)

I tend to like independently run joints more than commericial chains - but will settle when there's nothing else:

New York Pizza (in Houston no less) - great vibe and atmosphere - and pizza!

Franks Pizza - BEST PIZZA EVAR.

Rice and Rolls (aka "Chinky Choys" - no racism intended) - best oriental food places for miles - practically the best in all of Houston>

Barrys Pizza - another good joint, great siciillian

Fuddruckers - good burgers, not the best

Becks Prime - Best Burgars Evar!!!

Dennys on HWY 6 is an okay joint - average and below average food though...its only selling point is its 24 hr service.

Oh and Bennigans!!! - Grrreat place - way too $$$$

L & L Hawaiian Barbeque - I have become a slave to chicken katsu.

A significant portion of my $$ goes to Sushi. I also frequent various Chinese food places for the General's Chicken (General Tso makes better Chicken than Col. Sanders any day).

I used to go to this ghetto chinese food place called "Hai Wan Kitchen" in the bowells of urban NJ. They had bulletproof shielding for the workers. The place was like a fortress for good reason- you'll never find a more wreched hive of scum and villany frequenting that place.

They made the BEST general Tso's chicken EVER. Well worth risking your life to go there. My buddies and I were some of the only non-drug-dealer white people who went there- which made it even more dangerous for us (had a few close calls).

Sadly, it got demolished as part of an urban renewal project. I still have a piece of the wall masonry...

Other places of note: If you are ever in Colorado Springs, Colorado (duh), look for a place called "Fargo's Pizza". Its like an old-west saloon, only with...pizza. Worth the trip.

In New York City: "Lombardi's Pizza", the first pizzarea in the US. The originator of the NY style pizza. Good stuff. Also, "Reuben's Deli"- the birthplace of the Reuben sandwich.

I like italian restuarants myself, here are a few I like:

Roseland Pizza, best pizza in the valley

For other stuff Outback is pretty good and Amberjacks is nice too :)

Ollie's kick ass. It is like THE favorite place for my friends and I to go when we want something to eat.
