odd question I know, but as a newbie... Are there any? I'm sure there some(what am I talking about) but where? I'm not trying to be obnoxious I'm just curious. Female gamers are rare.

Seems to me that a thread pops up every now and then where a couple people are like, "What'd you guys say that for?" and I'm able to guess from context that some people acted strangely and chased off a female poster somehow. I always catch this after the fact, so I'm not sure. I've only seen the confusing aftermath.
hmm... I was just wondering because there seems to be this big gap between the genders. So far I've only found like 2 chicks. (Why do I call them chicks?)
With whatever girls do come here, a good majority of the board scares em off. It's like some people can't believe that a girl may actually want to post here, and so spin conspiracy theories all day long.
Then there was that one time someone created a second account to act like a girl. Maybe that's what created this new paranoia.
Overall, I can only think of maybe 4 females here.
and how many members total?
My advice would be to assume "no" and go about business here as normal. Yes, there are a few but none of them post with any amount of frequency that they should be seperately accounted for.
Besides:
Registered at TNL && Female && Single && Not-overweight = 0.
No, I'm not looking for anybody. I'm already in a relationship. But only 4 registered? vs. how every many guys. it just blows my mind.

*sigh*
Threads like these are why there are no gaming girls.
Threads like this need to die. It's like people use them as a means to "hook up" or something, and from past observation, folks never seem to know how to act. I mean...you don't see girl gamers (which of course are out there, asking if there are any male gamers)...and sure of course they're the ones in the minority (generally speaking), but honestly...does it really matter?
Cyco: I don't see why? At least on this board, the way people generally act, would you go around advertising "wee, I am a girl?...
As dog$ said, I'd just go about business as usual and not even wonder...
