I do a lot of both. Playing and reading about gaming are like a symbiotic thing for me. I love gaming and TNL offers gaming conversation/info I can't get in the real world. You rarely find me outside of Gaming Discussion at TNL because I don't feel the need to talk about non-gaming topics much. My closest friends have long abandoned gaming and I have been going out with my non-gaming woman for over seven years so it's not like come here because I have no one to talk to.Quote:

I talk to my wife about games all the time. Heck, she could hold her own on TNL, and she certainly knows more than the average guy at the local eb or gamestop. Unfortunately, she rarely wants to play games even if it's co-op. There are some people here I've known in real life I consider friends, some people I met here and who I now know in real life that I consider incredibly good friends (not you, Andy, I secretly hate you), and some people I've never met IRL but interact with enough through instant messaging, the telephone, and online gaming to consider friends.
