I wont win this auction at all. I dont have money to throw away.
Besides, $3900 is SO not worth it....especially since I own all of the games released on mame anyway.
The reserve price wasnt met the last time this item was on auction....it ended at $2,250 ...the seller actually rejected the bid and started over.
If I were to buy an arcade board, the highest I'd go is $1200....only because of the material involved (the cabinet, the monitor, the computer with accessories, and the time it takes to set up all the wires with the controllers, and shipping that monster) and I have no time (or discipline) to build one of my own from scratch.
Seriously, as cool as that cabinet is, you'd be better off making your own. It doesn't look like that monitor can rotate in that cabinet, and we all know how many arcade games are vertical. Just look at the letterboxed picture on Donkey Kong on that page. That is the same monitor I own (if it is a Wells Gardner) and you can get it right from the WG web page. All of the other good stuff can be had right from the Happ page.
